"What a great vacation our family enjoyed in your super home! It suited our needs perfectly from the multiple bedrooms and baths to the generously appointed kitchen. The nearness to the beautiful beach and on-location swimming pool was ideal for our family(s). Other pluses included the front porch swing, outside shower, hot tub and wireless access. Hurricane Arthur was not much of a threat as there was no damage that we could see and no loss of power. Although there was lots of wind and rain we were still able to use the pool in the afternoon before we left. We tried to leave the place in good shape and see that nothing was overlooked as we prepared to leave. We're already talking about a possible return trip next summer."Guest: Midwestern Mom Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 17, 2014View listing
"Great ocean view…. Great time had sitting on the deck. Everything worked and was clean on arrival. Plenty of sand toys… good beach chairs.. very short walk to beach… boardwalk path and stairs to beach all new this week. Great time had by 3 kids aged 6 to 12 and mom and dad. One mile to Food Lion."Guest: harrisjf502 Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 29, 2014View listing
"This townhouse in Corolla Light was lovely and exactly as described. I was a little hesitant about staying in a townhouse, worried that it would be too small for our group of 7. However, it was spacious and well-designed, and never felt cramped. The neighborhood environment was great for the older children (ages 13 & 11), allowing them to have some freedom to walk to the pool and beach themselves. It is a very clean, safe neighborhood environment, with many different activities and shopping within walking distance. Jay, the owner, could not have been kinder or more accessible. He has done a great job of maintaining the home, and puts a lot of effort into making it a great vacation spot. I would definitely return to this home in the future."Guest: Liz Bell Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 7, 2014View listing
"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We very much enjoyed Kara's Sandcastle! The property was clean and included everything we needed to have a restful and relaxing week. We especially liked the dog run although our Fred was a little shy about going down it on his own. Another week or so and he would have been very comfortable going it alone. The only negative comment was that our key was not in the lock box when we arrived late Saturday evening. We had to wait a while for someone to drive it to us because the traffic was so insane coming into the Outer Banks this year. We still can't figure out why? In the twenty years we have been coming, we have never experienced traffic like it before. The lock box does make check in and out much easier and quicker, if it is there upon check in."Guest: A guest from Aurora, OH Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
