"This is a great house and is exactly as advertised. It was clean, spacious, well maintained and very comfortable. Pool and hot tub at the house are great so we didn't even use the large pool that is steps from the end of the driveway. We did take advantage of the close proximity to the beautiful beach and to the great playground. The property management company was incredibly responsive the couple of times we called them with questions. Great large table for family gatherings. Would have been nice if the grill was upstairs on the deck off the kitchen but that is probably a community rule / fire hazard. Very close to Duck shops/restaurants. If returning to Outer Banks I'd definitely go back with my family."Guest: JSB Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: December 10, 2013View listing
"We rented this house over Labor Day weekend and the following week, I can't imagine there's a better location to be in Duck. Although it's the end of the season and there are a few repairs necessary, they are easily overlooked with the ease of living there. You are able to park the car and go to the beach, restaurants, grocery, donut shop, pizza, stores etc without driving (and downstairs to the pool). Also there is an excellent boardwalk along the bay which travels through the shops, restaurants and marsh, its a wonderful evening walk (even live free evening music). if you want a wonderful place by the ocean for a large group (we had 18 over the weekend) this is the place to go."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 6, 2014View listing
"This was our second trip to the Outer Banks and we chose this house for our extended family. Overall, we had a great time and made a lot of memories. The house was good for us, but there were some issues. Good: great decking, nice pool, pretty good location (about 8 houses from the beach), very nice kitchen, lots of beach "stuff" to borrow, pretty clean, got in a little early. Not good: one bedroom had mold problem that looked to be from a recent leak above the room (mold on back of headboard, corner of bedskirt, corner of box spring, wall), TVs in bedrooms didn't work (was told this was due to recent switch to digital in area, but that changed a 10 TV house to a 2 TV house), hot water in one bathtub not working, basketball net hanging by a thread, air hockey puck missing, volleyball court needs improvement. Everyone expects a few minor things on vacation, but all of these added up to some disappointment. We made a trip to Walmart for supplies to fix the net, bought some cleaning supplies to scrub the mold in one room, and spent some time really raking the volleyball court to eliminate sharp objects. Despite all that, I'll still rate the property as good, but I'd probably look elsewhere for our next trip, just due to these few disappointments."Guest: Family Vacationer Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 5, 2014View listing
