  • FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC, SUPER DUPER AWESOME!!!

"This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. My daughter, her best friend and I had such a great time. The condo was SO NICE, decorated SO BEACHY, very comfortable and clean and just steps to the beach. It is located so close to everything, too......many restaurants, shopping, mini golf, etc. The pool was nice, too.........nice and warm and not too crowded. (although, it would be nice to have some lounge chairs poolside to sit on when not in the water). The owners were very nice and answered all my questions before we got there and made recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, things to do, etc. The Outer Banks is my new "favorite beach" now! I plan on going back next year! Another thing that would be nice would be an elevator or a means to get luggage, etc. up the steps without carrying it up two flights. The girls got tired bringing all our stuff in! But, once we had everything up there, we were good to go and the steps didn't bother us at all after that. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to be right on the beach and close to area attractions. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR CONDO WITH US!!! :)"

  • Wonderful OBX Vacation

"This was our 4th time at this house & once again a great time was had by all! Since our last visit the kitchen was upgraded, a new hot tub was purchased, a swing was added to the front deck,a new ping pong table was added to the game room and bunk beds were added to the a third floor bedroom. We didn't realize the the bedroom had been changed to bunks and that is the reason I deducted a star. We had 2 adults sleeping in that room and it was a bit uncomfortable for them. We just love this home for the many reasons. The pool is spacious for large crowds. Your whole group can enjoy it at the same time. There is plenty of outside furniture and the hot tub is a plus w/ a cover that is easy to remove. The game room is perfect w/ a pool table & ping pong table and sm counter and frig. The only thing the game room needs is a sink. There is plenty of seating in the kitchen and living room and the house is so roomy that you can have privacy if you want it and be together for movies and games when you want that too. This house is perfect for large groups, family reunions and wonderful beach memories."

  • True Beach House ~ Comfy Interior ~ Lush Lot ~ Huge Pool ~ Perfect Week :D

"Listing description accurate - Oceanfront on a beautiful dune, short path to the beach, gorgeous views from decks and Cathedral windows. Photos reflect home's appearance and amenities - pool is huge by OBX standards, deck landscaped with gorgeous dark green blooming shrubs and bushes, very zen. Lot has more trees and greenery than any we've seen, beautiful. Robert the Caretaker did an exceptional job, the house was spic n span. We arrived early, and he made us feel welcome, let us know when the house would be ready. Great communication throughout our stay :) George the Owner answered all of our questions - we were at complete ease that any concerns would be addressed, though we had none during our entire week. I would enthusiastically recommend this property, though the layout might be slightly more challenging for those with toddlers or elderly guests. Its an older layout, which was perfect for our clan of 20 to 50 yr olds and an old beach doggy. For activities, we bring our own beach volleyball net, (swimmers, volleyball and soccer players in our group) for hours of great exercise and fun. We even played pool volleyball in the huge pool, beautifully lit at night. Soccer juggling and frisbee on the beach. Boogie boarding whenever possible. Sand sculpture kept everyone smiling. Shopping @ our favorite Surf Shops for hoodies, bikinis and boardshorts @ DVO outfitters (3 min drive South) or REAL Watersports (1 min drive South) or Avon Surf Shop (20 min drive). We try to buy from local small businesses - Austin's Seafood (super-fresh daily catch - our seared tuna on the grill deserved Michelin stars :) Waves Grocery and Market is very cool and open til' midnight! We got to see a live Reggae Band at the super cool REAL music venue behind their store. - fantastic for all ages, and just a superb location for the sunset. We love Hatteras Island because of its still a Beach Town. George's Home reflects this in a beautifully laid back, but well-appointed way. Its architecture and driftwood tones respect and complement the environment it is built upon (as opposed to some of the gaudy behemoths plunked down on oceanfront lots). Its a well-loved, lived-in home, full of personal touches, a family curated art selection (loved the Hatteras Needlepoint series!), family photos - i love that you can tell Surfers Live Here! 16 years of OBX house rentals, and we give this House, its Caretaker and Owner an enthusiastic A+"

  • Nice Place

"My wife and I brought our 10 month old daughter for her first beach get away and this place met our needs perfectly. Connie was great to work with and made sure everything was in order. The indoor pool was nice and convenient. The 10 minute walk to the beach wasn‘t bad (baby in a chicco backpack and gear in an all terrain wagon). The nearby shops was about a 20 minute stroll. All in all, enjoyed Duck and the condo."
