  • Something Fishy is Something Perfect

"The house is in a great location and poised to miss most of the incoming traffic of other vacationers. The hop, skip and a jump to the beach was a favorite for my family. The easy back and forth access eliminated a lot of the pack mule feel that happens so easily with beach going. The light, airy and overall beachy feel of the house is so relaxing just for a week of no set time to be anywhere. Deck access from most of the bedrooms gives immediate access to another living and gathering space. The kitchen is fully functional with all the necessities and amenities. The dining table is large enough for the entire house to gather around for meals or games. The owner was very attentive to our needs as a family and was eager to help with all my questions. We are looking forward to another visit next summer. Thank you"

  • Feeling peaceful!

"My sister, her kids and I stayed at the Beachhouse for one week. We had an amazing week on Hatteras Island. There's nothing I would want to change about our stay here and our vacation. The house had everything we needed. There's plenty of space for 6 people, even though we only had 4. The location couldn't have been any better! Only 3 homes from the beach, we were able to come back to the house from the beach when needed. My favourite about the Beachhouse was having the windows open at night while sleeping and listening to the ocean waves (it cooled down at night in October) and sitting on the deck in the morning and after dinner enjoying the sounds and beauty. We spent most days on the beach, we brought our bikes and rode in the morning. There is only one main road on the island. Biking with smaller children may not be recommended. The accommodations were very comfortable, everything was clean when we arrived, the house is well-maintained! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. The description of the property is accurate. We felt very safe in this area. Everybody we talked to on the island was extremely friendly and very polite. The owners Alan and Sue were very easy to contact both while making arrangements for reservations and during our stay. They were more than happy to make your vacation as comfortable as possible. We went to many of the local attractions (lighthouse, weather station, post office, museum) and we also enjoyed the fresh seafood available! I highly recommend this vacation property, great value, and beautiful location. A vacation in this area is more for those looking to unwind from life, and it's very easy to do! Thank you Alan and Sue for sharing your place with us!"

  • really nice house on northern part of hatteras island

"We're used to dumpy old houses on hatteras but this one is like a diamond in the rough. its in the older subdivision of course but this one is quite luxurious and cool inside. beach is nice and clean here, plenty of space here don't have to worry about storms washing this area away like in some other areas. fishing was fantastic here, we definitely recommend doing a charter boat out in the ocean!"

  • A Fun Family Vacation

"Camp Currituck is simply beautiful! The magnificent windows allow you to see beautiful views from every angle of the house. The house's interior looked to be professionally decorated and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked for gourmet cooks. Wonderful sound system that can be heard throughout the house. There were TV’s everywhere except the kids’ bunk beds which was perfect for us. We loved being on the golf course and overseeing the sound. For us the best thing was to be able to go for a swim in the pool and then lounge around."

Edenton Travel Tips

Edenton Beach House Rentals: Fine Old-South Living

North Carolina's coastline is one of the most beautiful places in the United States. Travelers flock to this coast by the thousands each year to enjoy the majestic scenery, pristine beaches, and remnants of the Old South. There's no place more reminiscent of the Colonial South than Edenton. Considered the South's prettiest small town, Edenton rests along the shores of Albemarle Sound. When visiting, Edenton beach house rentals will meet lodging needs in an extraordinary way. Edenton homes are quaint bungalows and historic homes that adhere to the Victorian and Greek-revival architecture so commonly found about this wondrous village. The former Colonial Capital of North Carolina, Edenton's small-town feel is accentuated by its plantation homes and Civil War history.

History Thrives in Edenton

Walking through history is easy around Edenton homes. Seek out the Historic Edenton Visitor's Center, located in the Ziegler House, erected in 1892. After viewing a short program on Edenton's roots, stroll through exhibits before stopping in the gift shop for a pamphlet to help locate other historic sites in town. The Cupola house has called North Carolina's shores its home since 1758, when it was built by Francis Corbin. Since that time, it's been home to a tea room, museum, and library. Standing tall since 1782, the Barker House is open for public tours with staff on-hand to answer any questions.

A Paddler's Paradise Near Edenton

Surrounded by water, Edenton beach house rentals are near ample boating opportunities. Alligator River Canoe and Small Boat Trail is a portion of the Albemarle Region Canoe and Small Boat Trails System. This winding stream takes boaters through postcard-perfect forests and marshes. With three different sections, this trail offers paddlers short or long excursions. An Old-South retreat waits at the end of the day at Outer Banks vacation rentals, where travelers feel right at home.
