"This was our first trip to the Outer Banks, and we chose an early-in-the-season week to avoid some of the crowds. The house was clean and had all of the necessary things for a pleasant week (utensils, pots, etc.) The neighborhood was nice and fairly quiet (although there were yappy dogs across the street that woke up early.) The location was awesome, with a neighborhood parking lot across the street from the beach, close to stores and awesome restaurants, and two ways in/out of the neighborhood (one with a stoplight!) The house is showing some age, with cracks in some ceilings/walls, firm beds, and metal frame couches with sagging cushions. We had some beginning of the season issues with the house (water to the outdoor shower hadn't been turned on yet, Satellite TV was out due to some recent yard maintenance that knocked the dish & cables around), but the owner was very responsive and had people on-site quickly to take care of the problem. My daughter loved the bunk bed, and created a fort for herself. Property provided a charcoal grill, but the yard is not a place to play or have small kids run around in. Overall a great value for the price, we would stay again."
