"When we pulled up to the property, we more more than excited. When we left, we were more than satisfied with our stay. Alan made the process easy and was a truly great communicator. Any questions we had, he was sure to be attentive and helpful. The location was great! The beach is a quick three minute walk, as is Harris Teeter and Duck Donuts! Although the pool was closed for our visit, we still utilized the area for grilling, playing corn hole (we brought) and listening to music. All in all after a week, each of the 14 in the group now calls this getaway our second home."

"This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and this house was perfect for us! Location was wonderful; quiet side street with a 3 min walk to a lifeguarded area of the beach. It even has shops and restaurants within walking distance. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Having access to an outside shower meant that all beach sand was left outside and I wasn’t sweeping sand all week. The owners were very pleasant to work with and quickly answered all questions I had prior to our arrival. We are already thinking about what next summer will bring for our family and booking early for another vacation at Scotch Bonnett!"

"The house was exactly how described in the detailed description. Upon arrival we were greeted with a clean house and a nice gift bag with some essentials. Kitchen was well stocked, tons of pots and pans, dishes, cups, etc. but i think it would have been nice to have a couple extra mixing bowls and measuring cups. Bedrooms are a decent size, adjoining bathroom between 1 queen room and the room with 2 doubles was a surprise but we worked through it with limited awkward moments or inconvenience of someone forgetting to unlock the door when they were done. The outdoor shower was awesome and in a great location, all adults and kids were able to rinse after a day at the beach. The walk to the beach was convenient, if you weren't carrying too much, but there was a parking lot with vehicle access just about 100ft up from people access point that we used more often, plus i bought an off road beach pass so we drove on to carry everything. As with most of the properties by creeks or low lying water the mosquito's were rough especially while loading and unloading vehicle or sitting on lower deck(even with thermacell, citronella or fan), the upper deck wasn't so bad except when really still, only 1 or 2 nights. The 2 person kayak was nice but the launch area needs a lot of work, we brought kayaks to enjoy the ease of access, but it was not that easy. It would be nice if the path was cut about 3 or 4' wide and maybe some type of decking put down. There were various boards along the trail that was only about a foot wide and it made it more like carrying a kayak on a balance beam. Then once we got to the launch are the decaying silt and vegetation made for a very pungent smell.. All and all good stay."
