  • Love Everything About It

"My husband & I stayed here from 9/20/14-10/5/14 for the second time. The first time we stayed here was 3 years ago and that was our most recent vacation until this year. We couldn't wait to come back! The house is perfect for us. It's large enough for us to spread out but small enough to not get lost in it. We absolutely love the location and watched every sunset. It was so easy to stash our kayaks under the house then just drag them across the grass into the sound. We love (and used) all the seating options, all the decks and porches. We would have spent more time in the hammocks and down by the water if not for the mosquitoes but we spent plenty of time everywhere else. We are partial to the southern portion of Hatteras Island so Frisco is a perfect location for us. And we enjoy being in a neighborhood versus a row of vacation homes. There is plenty of shade with all the trees and a quiet street to walk on. The house has everything we need and is very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back, hopefully for another 2 week stay, although I could stay there forever."

  • Donnie, Veronica and Riley pup

"We had a wonderful time at Turning Point. The view was amazing, more than I had expected. Irene was a fantastic host. She called to ask us about the bed, because she had some complaints that it made a noise. It did, but nothing you couldn't deal with. We slept perfectly fine. We enjoyed crabbing and fishing off the dock. Our pup Riley seemed to enjoy it the most. She loved sitting in front of the glass doors or on the deck as we enjoyed our morning coffee. It is a far drive from most tourist type things, but is well worth it. You are on a part of the island that is so narrow, that you can see the sound on one side and the ocean on the other. The only suggestion I would make is to bring bug spray. The mosquitos are relentless! We even left the citronella candles we bought for the next guests. Other than that, we had a fantastic time. I have been to the OBX many times and stayed a few places. From here on out, it will be at Turning Point! We look forward to coming again next year if we can."

  • Great Anniversary!

"This property was exactly as described! I cant imagine finding a more perfect place to stay. There were just 2 of us, but beds for 6. Cooking was a breeze with all the items provided, so much so that we only ate out once. Although it was a bit early in the season, we found that everything we wanted to do was available. We took the kayak on a tour of the sound, and my husband dumped me...much to our neighbors delight! He offered to call the Coast Guard for us, but we managed. (The water was about 2 ft deep) Kiteboarders could be seen out almost every window. We plan on returning next year, and bringing my parents along for some much needed R&R. Thanks for sharing your home with us! You helped me an awesome 1st Anniversary!"

"The place was not what I expected it to be based on our experience with the other rental property we had. This beach house is so nice. Newly renovated and clean. The owner is so nice to talk to. My daughter called him to ask if they can check in early since her 5 year old was throwing up, he did not hesitate to say no. I will recommend the beach house to some friends any time."
