  • OCEAN, OCEAN, AND MORE

"We are a family who have grown up on, or nearby the beaches of the eastern shore of Md...and have also visited the Outer Banks on a regular basis, either in a travel trailer, or on beachfront rental property. In all honesty, we have NEVER been so "beachfront" and close to the ocean. What a treat! We witnessed spectacular sunrises, a day with 21 kite board surfers on the rough sea, fishermen, families with children and dogs, and of course, always a view from our home, with the wrap around decks. Thank you, Beverly and Frank...you made this so easy, and we will consider rental of this property again! A very lovely, and well equipped home!"

  • LoveOBX

"We love everything about the house. It's so cozy and can accommodate quite a large family. It was just my husband and I for our visit and we just resided on the upper floor. Get up early at least once and watch the sunset. I't so worth it. Our favorite thing about this house is opening up the windows and hearing the waves (it's cool enough this time of year to do so in October). Our second favorite thing is enjoying the hot tub! The only I would say is watch the weather forecast for OBX BEFORE you come down here. There was 8 inches of rain the week before we came down here and the only road leading to Isolation was covered in 6 inches of water all week! Our little car could not go through it! Behind Isolation are EPA protected wet-lands so that's probabily why it was nearing the end of the week and the water had not shown any signs of receding. THANKFULLY, our lovely neighbors allowed us to use their driveway (right next to Isolation) and we didn't have to track through 6 inches of water all week to get to the house/vehicle. The wet driveway wouldn't be a problem for "higher-up" vehicles, though. Just low-sitting, smaller ones. But we love this house and will for sure come again (with our truck!) Lol."

  • Relaxing week at the beach!

"We had a wonderful time at the castle by the sea. Even though we came late in the season the weather was beautiful. The sunrise and sunset were spectacular. The house was spotless and very comfortable for two big families. We brought some firewood and used the outside firepit and really enjoyed it. The owner is friendly and easy to get in touch with. We can't wait to come back!"

  • The other Outer Banks

"Our family had a wonderful week at Rose Cottage! It was the perfect space for our family of four along with our year old dog. Beautiful views, easy walk to the beach and quiet block. Jennifer and the Shore Essentials team were great. Highly recommend their help - linen service, towels and grocery delivery on day of arrival meant vacation as soon as the car was unloaded. Rodanthe and Hatteras Island are the perfect get away. Quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Bring the boogie boards!"

Rodanthe Travel Tips

Real Life Romance Is Waiting With Rodanthe Vacation Rentals

Yes, this is the same Rodanthe recently made popular with the feature film "Nights In Rodanthe." The distinct hallmark of that story was the incredible Rodanthe beach house situated right on the North Carolina Outer Banks. You might not be able to stay at that exact house but you'll come pretty close with any number of Rodanthe vacation rentals available through Vacation Rentals by Owner. Booking Outer Banks beach rentals can certainly help spark a romance but it's also a delightful destination for the whole family.

Fun In the Sun Awaits

Your first response when looking at your Rodanthe vacation rental options might be "Can we really stay there?" Of course you can! These charming Outer Banks beach rentals have their own distinct charm that can suit your own personal tastes. Renting a Rodanthe beach house can put you literally within feet of the ocean. The Outer Bank beaches are known for their fun in the sun such as wind surfing, sailing and good old fashioned kite flying. With your beach house just steps away, you can easily move back and forth from your beach camp to home. This makes grabbing some cool drinks or a snack a breeze.

Room For Everyone In Rodanthe Beach Houses

Unless you are concentrating on a special romantic getaway, a Rodanthe vacation rental can provide a lot of room not only for your immediate family but for all the friends, cousins and neighbors, too! You can pick among Rodanthe beach houses that can sleep upwards of 10 to 14 people. Imagine trying to fit all of those folks into a hotel suite. Not only can there be plenty of sleeping quarters but these also spacious living rooms and eat-in kitchen. Once word gets out you've got an Outer Banks beach rental you're going to become very popular!
