  • Great Escape!

"My girlfriend and I spent the week at Otter's Pub with our dog and were absolutely blown away by everything that the house and the town of Frisco had to offer. The two of us grew up in the Boston area, making Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard our annual "beach" escape, so in the back of my mind I was expecting something similar when I arrived to this Frisco destination. Don't get me wrong, I love the Cape and MV, but generally the week before Labor Day is complete chaos - this was not the case in Frisco, as it is off the beaten path. The house is great, clean, and has everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. The back deck overlooks the canal, which leads out to the sound. There are multiple kayaks available for use, which we took out to the sound each evening to watch the sunset. I can't emphasize how quiet, peaceful and beautiful this is. There is virtually no traffic on the street and the neighbors on both side were both great and respectful. If you have a 4WD vehicle, some of the best beaches in the OBX are merely minutes away, allowing you to pack up for the day and drive to your perfect spot(there are non-drive-on beaches within just a few minutes as well). We didn't have a 4WD vehicle, but met a couple at Pop's, the locals' pub, that offered to bring us out for a day. After that experience, we rented a 4WD for the rest of the week so we could take advantage of the amazing spot (just down the road from the airport) for the rest of our stay. Stephanie, the owner, was extremely easy to work with and helped us book the house with one day's notice. We can't thank her enough for introducing us to this gem of a vacation spot. We will be back for sure."

  • You will feel right at home

"What a great place! This house was large, it slept or group of 13 with ease. There was enough space that you had room to breathe and everyone was not piled on top of one another. The kitchen was modern and very well stocked with everything and anything you needed. Clean from top to bottom it was just a comfortable “you feel right at home” setting. The several hundred yards to walk to the beach was more than I expected, especially trying to carry chairs and a cooler. The drive on the beach permit is the way to go. The seclusion was great, it was always peaceful. The owner is wonderful to deal with and ready to assist you with anything you need, she could not have been more accommodating. A long walk to the beach but overall I would consider this house A+A+A+."

  • Sea's Calling review

"I loved the house, beds, and fully stocked kitchen and then some! The decor was beautiful in every room. The Keurig was what I fell in love with. I have it on my Christmas list. I was invited by my daughter, fiance, and 3 grandchildren. I am so glad they invited me, but the 11hr drive I did not care for. The week we were there, there had been warnings almost the entire time regarding the ocean swells and turbulent waters. The wind was strong at times too. We rode on the Okracoke ferry. The town is darling and quaint. We loved it there. The owners of the property were so easy to communicate with. They had wonderful dispositions. Overall, me and my daughter's family enjoyed ourselves and the memory foam mattresses, and location to beach, community pool and in close proximity to a plaza, you could walk."
