"Overall we had a great experience at Kneas Cottage. The house is quite large and spacious - definitely large enough for two families with seperate spaces so you aren't on top of each other all the time! Many attractions and conveniences near by. A short walk to the beach and fishing pier.
We had two minor issues during our stay, but the owners were quick to help/rectify the issues.
We would definitely go back to Kneas cottage without a doubt!"

Charming, clean, and best of woods and ocean, happy teenagers
"We just returned home from a week's stay with our kids, 19 and 17. Great house with beautiful A-frame window view of the woods. The house was perfect for our family of 4. The layout is very functional and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. While we had to drive to the beach, we never had a problem finding public parking, regardless of time of day. The woods are wonderful for a hike but be sure to bring your bug spray. The flies bite. It was unseasonably hot last week and the house was always cool and comfortable. Close to restaurants and stores. The owner was very quick to communicate and helpful. Thank you for making our vacation special!"

"A lovely and beautifully maintained home. Special kudos to the cleaner(s). My house should be so clean …
House is fairly new, and remarkably un-worn for a vacation rental near a beach.
Everything was well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets, silverware, cups, glasses, etc.
We cooked a lot, and did not lack for any item we needed,
House is comfortably furnished, brightly painted (I like the strong wall colors) and nicely decorated. Much more style and character than any bland corporate resort or hotel
The internet was far better than any hotel too.
The owner was very responsive and friendly.
We arrive on New Years Eve, and were pleasantly surprised at the mild weather. We walked on the beach, hiked in a nearby preserve, and visited the Kitty Hawk memorial with only light jackets.
Definitely recommended- I'd stay again without a second thought if I was in the area in the future."

"My husband and I (along with our two year old daughter) recently stayed here for a week and we all agreed that we'd like to come back to this place next year. The condo is beautiful inside, so much light! We loved the fact that the entrance is to the balcony, not the condo itself, and helped us to limit tracking sand in from all of our daughter's beach toys:) We spent the mornings and evenings on that balcony, watching the ocean (and the dolphins!) and every day on the beach. It was never crowded and its just a short walk down. The location is awesome - easy driving to Food Lion and near many restaurants (walking distance to Goombay's).
The only downside is that there's no elevator, but we looked at it as exercise, especially when our two year old insisted on being carried:p
You won't regret staying here."
