28th Anniversary Trip
"We just returned from staying in your condo. This was our first trip to OBX and we loved it! We came to celebrate our 28th wedding anniverary and were not disappointed at all. The condo was well equipped and the location was perfect. We hope to go back again sometime. Thank you!"

"1/2 the money of oceanfront across the street from private access. Great views, contemporary and bright inside, working central air, convenient outdoor shower so you don't track sand into the house. This is important since this is a 'self-clean' house, and you want to keep the mess to a minimum so you don't spend your whole last morning cleaning. Personally I would have preferred to pay for a cleaning service, but it is made completely clear that you're on your own. Accomodating & friendly owner-operators, you don't have to go to some manager's office during office hours to get keys. Sunday-to-Sunday avoids the traffic on Saturday turn day (though even the Saturday traffic wasn't as bad as expected).
As noted, house is bright and modern inside, you can find wear if you look with some of the personal property but you've got what you need and whatever else you get from K-Mart walking distance away. The house is really at a perfect standard for a beach house, you don't have to wear white gloves. Since the public beach access is some ways down, this stretch of beach is not very crowded and there are no condos, hotels, or apartments right here. Pretty much all the surrounding houses are seasonal rentals, too, so the beach is populated by other families on vacation - really quite pleasant. As is typical, you do not have access to the garage but there is covered parking for 2 cars plus the driveway.
So no complaints and we'll certainly look this place up the next time we decide to drive cross-country. Thanks."

"Me and my husband enjoyed Shrimp-N-Grits for a long birthday weekend and it was perfect. The home is beautiful, clean, well stocked and in the perfect location to access all areas of the Outer Banks. The owners replied promptly to any questions that we had and made the whole rental process effortless. I'm looking forward to another stay at Shrimp-N-Grits!"

"My husband and I drove down from Canada with our son (who was 22 months old) and we had a fantastic vacation! The condo was clean and well stocked, it was the perfect set-up for the three of us. We rented a two-bedroom, ocean front view and it was amazing! We've been to North Carolina on vacation before, but wanted to rent something that had more amenities for children this time around. This was a perfect balance between relaxing, and doing our own thing and lots of fun spaces and amenities for children - I'm sure we'll be back as our family grows :)
J.W. was very helpful and willing to answer our questions and provide us with any advance information we required. It's not the cheapest option to rent, but for what you get, it's well worth it. If you are looking for a place that offers amenities (other than just going down to the beach) and somewhere that's close by restaurants and stores, then this is the place for you. At the same time, it's literally right on the beach, so you really feel as though you're on vacation and away from it all."
