"Our family of 6 and 2 dogs loved our stay. The kitchen is stocked with several appliances, pots & pans and plates, glasses, utensils and much more. Everything you need to prepare all your meals. Loved the covered parking. So nice to have the beach cart and toys available plus the bikes. This place is very convenient to everything. You can walk to Harris Teeter, ABC store, Kill Devil Grill (my new favorite restaurant) and New York Pizza Pub, etc... All ranked high on Trip Advisor and Yelp.com. Also close to outlets and lots of other shopping places. The beach is straight across the street. It couldn't of been more convenient. There's plenty of board games, puzzles and books. The place was clean and had even a few things to cover us until we got to the store like aluminum foil, saran wrap, etc.... The owner is really nice and accommodating. This building only consist of 12 units so the community pool was often available without others so it was like having a pool all to ourselves! What I loved about the place also is that it's set off the road so no traffic noise so if you are a light sleeper like me....this is for you. The unit overlooks a grassy area however you can see the pool as well which was great when our teenagers were babysitting our younger girls at the pool and had to call them up for dinner. Enjoyed TV's in the bedrooms and main living room. The elevator was a plus however we used the stairs most of the time. This is close to Jockey Ridge park, Wright Brothers, putt putt golf, go carts, bumper cars, zip line, Jeannette's Fishing Pier, crabbing, etc..... The beach was not crowded at this location when we were there. I could go on and on about all the things this place is close to and activities but you really need to stay here and see for yourself."

"This home was perfect for our family! My fiancé/I and our dog Jackson had a great time! The house had enough room for a few family members to come down throughout the week, but was still cozy.
My favorite part about the house is its old Outer Banks charm. My family had a house in OBX that had similar features ...the wood paneling, the driftwood art, even similar style furniture so this was like a walk down memory lane.
The location is also a big plus, close to the Atlantic St. public beach access (about 1/4 mile walk), grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The central location allowed for and easy drive either south to Oregon Inlet or north to Carova for ORV beach access.
We'll definitely try to come back to this great house. We had an amazing time and made some great memories here!"

"We had an excellent stay at Barefootin (lower unit)! It was neat and clean and included everything to make our stay comfortable. A welcome bucket that included flip-flops, sunglasses, beach towel and wine greeted us when we entered the unit. Even small items not normally included with rentals such as dishwasher detergent, scrubber, trash bags and hand washing soap were provided. The house is a short walk to the beach and centrally located to restaurants, shops etc. The Wi-Fi worked very well. The only disappointment was the bunk bed which was very noisy and my kids were unable to sleep in it.
Denise, the owner was very helpful and prompt in returning my emails and phone calls."

"This house is excellent. It's in a great location. It is tucked away in a quiet corner, but still close enough to everything you need. There is an easy walk to the beach or a close place to park for free if you'd prefer to drive. The crow's nest was the perfect place for breakfast and to watch the sunset. Kathy was a delight to do business with and we plan on renting this house next year."
