Looking forward to many more years at Kill Devil Rum
"I can't say enough about this wonderful home. The location is absolute perfection, it takes 3 minutes to walk to the beach. The home is right in the middle of everything wonderful about Kill Devil Hills. The house was clean and well maintained, and we were so happy to be able to bring our dog. The yard was beautiful and the neighbors were friendly too! There is so much space in this house, it was perfection. My husband and I brought our dog and our 6 month old baby with us and had another couple join us. We couldn't have asked for anything better. I can't wait to get back next year, we have already booked our trip for next year! Thanks so much Pam, we loved staying at your home. I have raved about it to everyone I know! What a gem."

"We brought three entire families together for this vacation trip and found your beach home to go up and beyond our expectations. We were amazed at the amount of space, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, game room, TV's, and even an excellent outdoor shower. We truly enjoyed our stay and got to know our two granddaughters from another state better because we were all under one roof. The walk to the beach was not bad unless you came like us bringing everything....coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, sand toys for the little ones. We did learn after awhile that with the heat of the day and walk we could leave some of it behind and chose certain days to take certain items with us. K-Mart and the Food Lion were nice and close and that was convenient. We found the back roads heading towards the sound area to be a great way to get back and forth to the shopping center with the Food Lion thereby eliminating a lot of road traffic. We also enjoyed many of the restaurants nearby including morning breakfast from Jolly Rogers...a favorite of ours from many years ago when we use to visit the OBX. Duck Donuts became a treat too -- though the 45 minute wait the first time was a shocker. We learned you can eat donuts any time of the day....go in the afternoons when they aren't busy! We were also happy to see that Awful Arthurs was still in business....though if you go you need to go early....that place is really busy all the time! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed your beach house. It was perfect for 6 adults, 4 small children and 1 small poodle. Our youngest grandchild, 4 years old, loved the carpeted stairs. This was "his playground". The other three grandchildren enjoyed the living room upstairs and claimed that as their headquarters. The game center became our puzzle area. If we ever decide to come back to the OBX, we'll definitely look at your place again to stay. Thanks for making it so enjoyable and memorable."

"We stayed in Sea-esta with three other small families and overall enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, out of the four days we stayed the pool was only warm enough for one day of swim due to weather conditions being too chilly however, the hot tub more than made up for it. The rooms are tight for adding air mattresses for children on the floor. Our children ended up having to share a twin mattress (which was provided). The children enjoyed the bottom level, playing pool, games and hanging out on the deck balcony hammock. The grown ups took advantage of the top level living room where we could retreat away from excitable kids. There is enough space to feel like you aren't over crowded which is nice, especially when travelling with a larger group. The beach is a short walking distance away and the beach wheelie cart provided was super helpful in toting items back and forth. The owner is very attentive and communicates well, which is appreciated. We would probably choose a house directly on the beach next time however, for the price this one was definitely worth it. Thanks again for an enjoyable stay!"

"A lovely and beautifully maintained home. Special kudos to the cleaner(s). My house should be so clean …
House is fairly new, and remarkably un-worn for a vacation rental near a beach.
Everything was well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets, silverware, cups, glasses, etc.
We cooked a lot, and did not lack for any item we needed,
House is comfortably furnished, brightly painted (I like the strong wall colors) and nicely decorated. Much more style and character than any bland corporate resort or hotel
The internet was far better than any hotel too.
The owner was very responsive and friendly.
We arrive on New Years Eve, and were pleasantly surprised at the mild weather. We walked on the beach, hiked in a nearby preserve, and visited the Kitty Hawk memorial with only light jackets.
Definitely recommended- I'd stay again without a second thought if I was in the area in the future."
