Felt like home
"We immediately felt welcome in this home. It was clean and bright and warm and inviting. There were sweet little touches us adults appreciated and my 3 year old thought the house was set up just for him. You can see the ocean from the deck and it's a short walk to the beach. It was just a few blocks from several attractions, as well as the sound. We can't wait to come back!"

Comfortable, Easily Accessible, Well Stocked - This One Has it All!
"Ever gone to a beach house and said "oh if only we would have brought…"? That's the last thing you'll be saying here! From a well-stocked kitchen down to laundry detergent for the washer, Judy in the Sky is the most comfortable place I've ever stayed. And the location is prime for anyone wanting the fun and sightseeing of Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hill. Even with a somewhat busy road in front of the property, the location right across from the beach was ideal. Some "block back" properties make it difficult to access the beach, but not this one. The deeded property that serves as cut-through over the dunes was so easy to access and a breeze to carry chairs and toys back and forth to the ocean. Additionally, the inside of the house was so comfortable and well kept - the pictures don't do it justice. Several surprises too - including an outdoor shower and restroom right by the pool, and a great bonus room that opens right to the outside. We had four adults and six kids and didn't feel cramped once (the bunk bed room was clutch!). If you're looking for a great location at a great price, with room to relax and enjoy - this is it.
*Side note - the property management company for this rental was also a pleasure to work with. Flexible and so friendly!*"

"We brought three entire families together for this vacation trip and found your beach home to go up and beyond our expectations. We were amazed at the amount of space, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, game room, TV's, and even an excellent outdoor shower. We truly enjoyed our stay and got to know our two granddaughters from another state better because we were all under one roof. The walk to the beach was not bad unless you came like us bringing everything....coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, sand toys for the little ones. We did learn after awhile that with the heat of the day and walk we could leave some of it behind and chose certain days to take certain items with us. K-Mart and the Food Lion were nice and close and that was convenient. We found the back roads heading towards the sound area to be a great way to get back and forth to the shopping center with the Food Lion thereby eliminating a lot of road traffic. We also enjoyed many of the restaurants nearby including morning breakfast from Jolly Rogers...a favorite of ours from many years ago when we use to visit the OBX. Duck Donuts became a treat too -- though the 45 minute wait the first time was a shocker. We learned you can eat donuts any time of the day....go in the afternoons when they aren't busy! We were also happy to see that Awful Arthurs was still in business....though if you go you need to go early....that place is really busy all the time! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed your beach house. It was perfect for 6 adults, 4 small children and 1 small poodle. Our youngest grandchild, 4 years old, loved the carpeted stairs. This was "his playground". The other three grandchildren enjoyed the living room upstairs and claimed that as their headquarters. The game center became our puzzle area. If we ever decide to come back to the OBX, we'll definitely look at your place again to stay. Thanks for making it so enjoyable and memorable."
