Everything about it is perfect.
"We have stayed at Little House two years now. It is the perfect place. The house is warm, inviting and comfortable. The open floor plan is perfect for 6 people; the outdoor shower is heavenly; the side porch, which is screened in, is bug free and next to a vacant lot, so it is very relaxing. The bikes make for lots of fun. The location is close to the village, which is perfect for daytime and evening fun. The owners are alway very responsive to any questions whatsoever. I highly recommend it--just don't rent it the week I want it!"

"I am writing the review for this place from the comforts of it's living room. I first made contact with Stephanie a few weeks ago inquiring about renting the place for a surprise Valentines getaway for my wife. I basically relied on the perfect 5 star reviews left on this website to make sure I would come out of this "looking like the man." I have gotten to where I rely on reviews for various products. They give a honest first hand account of satisfaction. Hardly ever do you see any product with perfect 5 stars and wonderful testimonies. I am here to tell you that my wife says I am the man! She was very impressed with the choice I had made. So I call it a success. From the first contact I had with Stephanie (and every other up to now) she was very professional and friendly. You could just tell she wanted this to be as special for my wife as I did. This place is all it is advertised be and then some. The pictures don't do it justice. You don't get the feeling you are in a vacation rental. You get the feeling you are at home. I can tell the owner takes great pride in the appearance both inside and out. Cleanliness is an understatement. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your place with us for a memorable Valentine getaway. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out."

"We were hesitant to write a review as we didn't want the best kept secret of Ocracoke out! Baby Duck is a fabulous, magical cottage. We have rented several VRBO properties and this is the best! The cottage is nicely furnished and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. We loved the screened-in porch and barbecue in the yard. The outdoor shower was also great! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and grilling. And a huge plus is that all the items were really good quality. Often when you get a rental vacation home kitchen items are inexpensive -- not at Baby Duck! The loft area was a wonderful get away to read a book and take a nap! The outdoor sink/fish cleaning area was a plus to hose off beach furniture! Thank you to the owners and the on site management company. They answered all our questions and were great to work with! Can't wait until we return!"

"My husband and I booked The Studio in October to get away for a long weekend and a little R&R after a hectic, busy summer, and this beautiful little place couldn't have fit the bill more perfectly! Debbie was so welcoming, and although we didn't really cross paths with her during the rest of our stay, she made it super clear that she was always available if we needed anything. Perfect for when we just wanted to be alone and chill.
The Studio decor has a warm, homey, artsy, eclectic vibe. It was very clean with several amenities and a well-stocked kitchen. So if want to cook, you really only need to bring your food and beverages. The outdoor, enclosed patio was cute and quaint as well.
There are 2 full-size beds - one on the main level and one in the loft. We're tall people so the bed was a tad small for us, but it was super comfortable nonetheless. One would have to be pretty comfortable with the ladder/stairs leading up to the loft, so we just stayed on the main level.
Being mid October we were blessed with near perfect weather. Rented a golf cart for a day and spent one of the days just zipping around the whole town site seeing, stopping at shops and popping in different restaurants along the way. Happily not too many places had closed for the season yet, so most everything was still open.
We spent the better part of another day going over to Portsmouth Island to do some fishing. The charter boat taking everyone over gives you the choice of going to see the abandoned town or just dropping you off right on the beach. We opted for the latter with all our fishing gear, and were treated to a beautiful day of beach combing, fishing and relaxing. From what we heard from the others who explored the town: Bring.Bug.Spray. Lots of it. We didn't have a problem with that on the beach.
Although we cooked in for a lot of our meals, we also tried many of the local restaurants. We would highly recommend Dajio's, Zillie's and for a phenomenal burger, don't miss SmacNallys!
We would definitely come back and stay at The Studio in a heart beat. It was a perfect, relaxing getaway and definitely made us feel like we were on "island time.""
