Much Needed Family Getaway
"Sea Fever was beyond our expectations. The house is beautiful and well equipped. Our family was able to relax and we felt like we were at home. The owners have provided their guests with so much that you could come with just your clothes and linens. (Bikes, fishing poles, beach chairs, kayaks, crab pots) We enjoyed using the bikes and never got in our car unless we were going to the beach. Fishing poles and crab pot provided lots of entertainment. My daughter loved fishing in the canal and her catch was split bewteen the crab pot and the heron that visited the yard. Our nights were spent eating dinner on the screend in porch and watching the sunset on the rooftop deck. Sea Fever is truly a magical place! It was just what we needed! Thank you John and Dolores for sharing your beautiful home."

"We had an amazing/relaxing time at Zillies! Very thoughtfully appointed with an incredible use of space. The wine bar in front of the cottage is a must each night as it is lively, entertaining, full of friendly people, and has a surprisingly good selection of wine. If you're looking for a nice romantic getaway, well designed bungalow, in a quiet, yet convenient location in Ocracoke, this is the place! We'll definitely be back!"

"This is a very nice little cottage. We had enough room for the two of us most times and really enjoyed the screened in porch. Plenty of room to entertain on the porch. The out door shower was a treat making it easy to get rid of the sand we collected at the beach. Kitchen was equipped fairly well, nice selection of books and old movies. The trip upstairs is a bit steep but manageable. The trundle bed was OK but what is really needed is a double or queen size bed for a couple... we made do. This cottage is fine for a couple and up to 2 small children. This was our first experience renting on the Island and it was a good one. Thanks Marc."

"The pictures on the internet do not do this house justice. The downstairs living/dining room area is much larger than it appears in the pictures. The house is amazingly clean; very private and outstanding views. The kitchen has everything needed and the Weber charcoal grill cooks fabulously. We enjoyed he screened porch and the large unscreened porch (during daytime - mosquitos at night were killers). We kept our Jon boat and kayaks nearby and enjoyed riding our bikes to nearby downtown etc. Only issue we had was third bedroom has 4 adults and they were a little crowded; a little noisy with the snorers. Having two separate air conditioning units helped a lot along with all of the ceiling fans."
