"We typically stay in Duck, but found this place on VRBO & saw the beautiful front-row views of the sound and decided to book this home. Wow, what a great view, sunsets were beautiful, evenings by the fire pit helped take the chill off (we came early in the season), and everyone of the 6 us was pleased! Most of us are from "up north" so it definitely had more of a "lake house" feel, which we loved! 2 of the bedrooms are on one end of the home, while 3 are in the other...helps with groups/families and allows for a "retreat" when quiet time is needed. The home was super clean, clearly the owners take pride in the home and use it personally, unlike many of the pure rentals in the area."

"We loved this house. The pool was very nice, we always hung out there after the day at the beach. I think some outdoor furniture at the pool and on the decks would be a very nice addition. Right now there are only a few chairs and most of them are broken. We always like to enjoy being outside when at the beach. The inside of the house was very pretty and well furnished. Very quiet neighborhood. Nice area for runs, walks or bike rides. You can walk to a grocery store easily if you only need a few items and want to avoid getting in the car. Depending on the amount of stuff you take to the beach, the walk from the house can be long but totally doable! Some days we drove up and dropped things off close to the access point but if you have teenagers they can carry the heavy loads!"

"Spent 4 nights here with an old friend of mine from Durham in october.
The place is perfect for 2 to 4 folks. Friends or a couple. Very nice clean and cozy. The fact that it is surrounded by trees makes you feel some privacy.
We loved the backyard with the nice fire place, and the canal that leads to the sound. We rented a canoe, it was nice to paddle around.
Malissa is a very nice and thoughtful person, she provided more than other other cottages i have rented in the outerbanks.
Also, the location is nice to find out about the outerbanks, especially not very far from the nice corolla, and nags head piers.
My girlfriend who couldn't take vacation this time wants already that we come back together!"
