  • WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS

"this is the second summer vacation we have stayed in this condo. Like before, everything was great. This is a very relaxing location and wonderful for couples or families. The owner is wonderful to work with. Hope to stay again soon."

  • Beautiful, clean, and relaxing condo-family friendly!

"My husband, two boys ages 12 and 6, and myself recently stayed in this beautiful condo in Calabash. This was our first VRBO rental, and our experience was wonderful and the listing was just as described and more. This condo is perfect for a relaxing vacation-so much so that we are already planning our return trip! The location is also wonderful-close enough to whatever you may want to see for the day yet just far enough away that you can unwind and relax. We enjoyed several days at Sunset Beach, a day and evening trip to the Myrtle Beach area, a day trip to the USS North Carolina in Wilmington, and many, many rounds of putt-putt around the area. My kids loved the separate bathroom and bedroom "just for them." We all enjoyed breakfast each morning on the patio, watching the golfers tee off on the 8th hole and taking our time to talk about what we wanted to do for the day. The pool at this condo is wonderful-we went at least once each day before or after a day at the beach or sightseeing. The owners thought of everything, even leaving discount cards for the grocery store and a list with wonderful nearby restaurants, recommended beaches, and much more. Both owners were great to work with and answered any questions I had by phone or email before our trip. I would highly recommend this condo-you'll have a lovely place to stay and much more time to focus on unwinding and relaxing."

  • Perfect writer's retreat!

"Just returned from a very relaxing, productive get-away at this amazing condo. Perfectly located near Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle, and Myrtle Beach; we preferred the quiet, friendly, family atmosphere of Sunset Beach for taking photos and meeting locals and visitors. Took a trip to the outlets in North Myrtle Beach, but for us the highlight of the week was this immaculately clean, spacious condo and it's accessibility to grocery stores, Walmart, fine dining, and local flavor. I am a runner and Crow Creek affords a lovely and safe place to put in the miles before heading off to watch the sunset on the beach. Big flat screen TVs and free wifi were fabulous amenities, but what really made the week was chatting with the folks who live at Crow Creek year round, and hearing how happy they are with the properties and the laid back lifestyle. The area afforded much needed relaxation and inspiration for my writing. Definitely will return to see the planetarium and other attractions :)"

  • We had a great time and plan to come back.

"We had a great time on the trip. We had never been to the Calabash area, but very much enjoyed ourselves. Thoughts/comments in no particular order: - The apartment is very comfortable, with extra high ceilings (I’m tall, I like it. Heh). The master bathroom is very large, and has a nice shower (good water pressure) and tub. The kitchen has a lot of room if you enjoy cooking, which we do. I’d say the one recommendation is to bring your own knives if you like them sharp like we do. Everything else was provided for, though. - The whole Crow Creek area is beautiful. I got a game of golf in on the course, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and the pools available at the condo fantastic – very clean, nice shower area at each location, etc. In addition to the pool you can walk to from the doorstep, there’s a second one that’s a bit larger and is only a 2 minute drive located by the condos in the northwest of Crows Creek. - Sunset beach is one of the nicest beaches we’ve been to. It’s a short 10-15 minute drive from the property and is located in a mostly-residential neighborhood. The area includes small-town stores for drinks and ice cream and air conditioned bathrooms by the beach. We had no problems finding parking, but we had to use the pay lot when we went ($8 per day). There’s also a free lot, but without many spots, so unless you get there early (or are lucky) you won’t find a spot there. - We did not spend much time in the Myrtle beach area, but we did go to the town a couple times for some shopping and dinner. The drive is very easy (if you take the highway and avoid the main drag on route 17). - The town of Calabash is very nice, essentially located halfway between the property and Sunset Beach. It’s got an old town feel with lots of different shops and consignment stores. My wife and son spent an afternoon going through there when I played a round of golf, she said she felt very safe and had a great time. - Everyone in the area is incredibly nice. I can’t remember how many conversations we struck up with random people, whether it was fellow vacationers, people at the golf course, or local residents of the condo (at the pool), but it was an unexpected addition to the trip that really left a positive impression with us. I think that’s about it. We had a great time, and although we already have family vacations planned for the summer of 2015, we are penciling in a return to Calabash in 2016!"
