  • Irish Eyes was smiling !

"We had a wonderful time at Irish Eyes Beach House. We especially enjoyed all the beach "toys" you had available for our use. The Tommy Bahama chairs were wonderful as well as the beach umbrella and the wagons. Your house is so beautiful on the inside as well as the outside and the walk to the beach was so easy. We really enjoyed our stay and want to thank you for all your good tips on where to go and what to do during our stay. We "beached it" everyday because we had such good weather all week. We met your neighbor and she had very nice things to say about you and your family. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation home away from home."

  • Great getaway

"This place is an ideal getaway for a long weekend. Matt and Charity are easy to work with, and they have obviously cared for this condo. It's pristine, up to date and tastefully decorated. Best of all, the balcony offers views of the ocean, and we enjoyed seeing the sunrise each morning. The condo is located in a quiet area of the beach. It has a neighborhood feel. This is an advantage overall, though I wished restaurants and shops were within walking distance. That said, you can easily get to "downtown" Carolina Beach from here by car. I also recommend a visit to Carolina Beach State Park, which is about 10 minutes away, for hiking and kayaking."

  • A very nice condo that takes pets

"We wanted an oceanfront place that takes pets, and this condo fit the bill. It is an older condo, but everything works (well, except the ice maker), and with three bedrooms and three and a half baths, you have plenty of privacy. There are ample plates, cutlery, silverware, and pots and pans. The living room furniture is and very comfy (couch and three easy chairs), and we liked the hardwood floors--easy to sweep. An electric broom would be a nice addition. The beds are extremely comfortable. Two bedrooms are oceanfront (second and third floor) with covered balconies and chairs, and there is a wide covered deck off the living room. The only things missing are hairdryers and an ironing board. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between April and October, but two miles south and one and a half miles north are beaches that allow leashed dogs in season, off leash out of season--Freeman Park to the north and Fort Fisher State Rec Area to the south (it's the prettiest, and the part that allows cars is separated). There are three steep staircases, so it may not be good for toddlers or the elderly. But we will be back!"

  • lovely lovely condo, perfect for our family!

"Our 2 year old keeps asking us when we're going back to our "vacation house." We felt right at home the minute we got there. We had 8 people staying in the condo and the space was perfect. It was so easy to get to the beach, even my grandfather who's 80 yo and in a wheelchair was able to enjoy seeing his great-grandkids play on the beach so that was really special. The beach is literally 30 stepps away from the house. The deck is wonderful! We spent sooo many hours just enjoying the breeze. We also loved that we could walk to the lake which has a great playground for the kids. We spent one afternoon kayaking on the lake which added some nice variety to the trip. Finally the kitchen. We ate every meal in the condo an d it was so nice to have a well equipped kitchen, made eating at home so much easier. The furniture is in great condition and the house was very clean. The other units were occupied while we were there but noise was never an issue. All in ll a great stay. We can't wait to book again for next year!"
