  • Great Week!

"We absolutely loved the cottage. It was clean, spacious, and updated. The new deck and walkway to the beach were outstanding. The cottage has great views and you can always hear the sound of the waves. Having no houses to the west allows for even better views of the ocean. We are a "beach family" and really enjoyed not being crowded into a tiny space. The cottage is a short distance from the bridge to the mainland which puts everything including grocery store, restaurants, and ice cream shops a short distance away. We loved it and will be back."

  • Girl's Trip 2015

"We arrived the day after the tropical storm "Ana". The carpets on the ocean side of the house were soaked and had a musty smell. The owners were very prompt in seeing that this was dealt with and within the first day people were there to clean up the mess. We had a wonderful time and fully enjoyed the house. Our group of 12 were very pleased and comfortable with the space the house afforded. At the time we had to provide our own towels but were told that soon all linen would be provided. I can't say enough about the wonderful service we were given and all problems were taken care of very promptly."

  • We loved it! Coast Watch was great.

"We loved the spacious great room on the top floor, and the two master bedroom suites since my husband's parents vacationed with us. I liked the color schemes and beach décor throughout the house. We were emailed a lockbox code to access a key to get into the house, so there was no check-in or waiting in line anywhere. We contacted Ken, the property manager, by phone and he said to call if we had any questions or needed anything - we never had to call again. Everything was very clean and worked well. Linens were folded on the ends of each bed. The kitchen is huge and well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, blender, 3 coffee pots, electric griddle, electric fry pan, cutting boards, etc. The A/C worked well with different thermostats for each floor. The elevator made getting the groceries to the third-floor kitchen much easier. The house is exactly as pictured. The views are fabulous. The beach is very wide and there are a lot of shells -- I recommend wearing some kind of beach shoe or flip-flops to walk through the dunes and across the shells to the wide, sandy beach. There were so few people I could hardly believe it. It was still a bit early in the summer season. We paid for a tank of propane to heat the pool, and it was worth it. We spent more time in the pool than anywhere -- all 3 generations of us. But there's no shade on the pool or pool deck, so we used a beach tent there. It worked out very well. We also enjoyed the pergola near the pool. I would recommend Coast Watch to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with lots of privacy. Debbie, the owner, was great to work with and everything fully met or exceeded our expectations."

  • 2nd trip to BACK AGAIN in less than 3 months

"Yet another wonderful get away to BACK AGAIN ! We love this place so much we had to get our fix for a few days as we transitioned into fall. We have never been to the beach in the fall but it will now be a must! The weather was 80 degress, bright sunny skies, and the water was still tolerable so my husband and nephew went paddle boarding(you can rent everything from this little shop on the island at the intersection... from beach towels to paddle boards and they deliver and pick it up) I just watched from the warm sand and got a sun burn lol There were 6 people within eyes view! So private and so relaxing. We also went and purchased fresh oysters from the seafood shop as you go over the bridge to the left(cant remember the name)leaving the island . They washed them up and packed them on ice until we were ready to have them that night. Speaking of being washed up.....we even found several conk shells and a huge horsheshoe crab. There was a nest of baby sea turtles that hatched and we were able to take part in 17 baby turtles head out to sea! There were still more eggs to hatch but could take up to a few minutes to a few days. Basically the reason for this review is that going to BACK AGAIN in the fall is a must and the rates are so unbelievably affordable!!! I would have never thought it would be as nice as it was. Oh and ladies........NO HUMIDITY! I had great hair lol Thanks again Max for being so wonderful and sharing your home with us. The perfect little beach cottage that keeps bringing us BACK AGAIN!"
