  • Excellent time!

"Everything was accurate about listing. Very nice, clean, and a short walk to beach. Owner was very nice to deal with. Island has a band for the island on Sunday's, awesome! Went for a short drive to Wilmington, enjoyed Battleship North Carolina, and ate at Indochine. The entire trip was wonderful and relaxing."

  • We loved it! Coast Watch was great.

"We loved the spacious great room on the top floor, and the two master bedroom suites since my husband's parents vacationed with us. I liked the color schemes and beach décor throughout the house. We were emailed a lockbox code to access a key to get into the house, so there was no check-in or waiting in line anywhere. We contacted Ken, the property manager, by phone and he said to call if we had any questions or needed anything - we never had to call again. Everything was very clean and worked well. Linens were folded on the ends of each bed. The kitchen is huge and well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, blender, 3 coffee pots, electric griddle, electric fry pan, cutting boards, etc. The A/C worked well with different thermostats for each floor. The elevator made getting the groceries to the third-floor kitchen much easier. The house is exactly as pictured. The views are fabulous. The beach is very wide and there are a lot of shells -- I recommend wearing some kind of beach shoe or flip-flops to walk through the dunes and across the shells to the wide, sandy beach. There were so few people I could hardly believe it. It was still a bit early in the summer season. We paid for a tank of propane to heat the pool, and it was worth it. We spent more time in the pool than anywhere -- all 3 generations of us. But there's no shade on the pool or pool deck, so we used a beach tent there. It worked out very well. We also enjoyed the pergola near the pool. I would recommend Coast Watch to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with lots of privacy. Debbie, the owner, was great to work with and everything fully met or exceeded our expectations."

  • Excellent property and great owners!!!

"First I apologize for not writing this review sooner. As great as this was, I should have done this right away. I rented this property for my husband's 60th b'day. His sister & family came from Atlanta - 3 of our 4 children and 1grandson were there off and on during the week & we had the MOST wonderful time. The owners were very accessible answering questions and helping me plan a wonderful b'day dinner. They arranged for us to see property ahead of time so we could plan vacation better as to who would be sleeping where and other things, if any, we should bring. Upon arrival we found the house immaculate as expected. The kitchen is by far the prettiest and most user friendly kitchen in any property that we have ever rented. The fact that each bedroom has it's own bath was another great factor. The 1/2 bath is right inside the door that leads to the deck. There were just so many good qualities about this property there's no way to list them all. We had our boat docked at property and there was rubber on the dock to prevent damage to our boat with high traffic Memorial Day weekend. This property is within walking distance of the beach/ocean and a couple of excellent restaurants. It is at the end of a street therefore not much traffic either. I will definitely book this property in the future and refer it to our friends."

  • Really wonderful!!!!!!

"My family and I had a wonderful time at The Wave! 6 adults and 5 children stayed for the week and things couldn't have been better. The house was absolutely fantastic. The beach was quiet - just as we had hoped and the ocean was as warm as bath water. The pool was great too. Holden Beach is quiet but there is plenty to do if you look. There are some great restaurants and markets where you can buy fresh seafood. We spent a day at the water slides across the bridge and even took a drive into Myrtle Beach one day (less than an hour away) but we mostly relaxed on that beautiful beach. Kimberly was extremely helpful and very easy to work with from beginning to end. You will not regret staying at The Wave!!!!!"

Holden Beach Travel Tips

Schedule Your Next Adventure at Holden Beach Rentals

Holden Beach is perhaps one of North Carolina’s best-kept secrets that offers plenty of family fun and secluded accommodations. Holden Beach rentals allow you to enjoy all the beach itself has to offer, as well as the local community and attractions.

Relax Oceanside at Holden Beach Rentals

Holden Beach houses are the ideal destination when you’re looking for easy access to the water and sand. Rent snorkeling equipment, kayaks and even grills to create your own oasis outside of your North Carolina beach rentals. Schedule a group camping or boating trip to explore the local wilderness, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunrise and sunset.

Learn about Local Sea Turtles Found near Holden Beach Houses

During your stay in Holden Beach rentals, it is quite possible you’ll spot one of the resident sea turtles in the area. These turtles may weight up to 200 to 400 pounds, and live up to 100 years. They love to eat jellyfish, shrimp and crabs found along the beach in front of Holden Beach houses. You’ll have to be careful of possible nests in the sand, and when walking the beach at night you need to use red flashlights to avoid harming the turtles’ eyes. It’s possible to witness these creatures while staying in North Carolina beach rentals from May to September, during their typical mating season.

Spend a Day away from North Carolina Beach Rentals

A popular attraction within driving distance of Holden Beach rentals is the USS Battleship North Carolina, found in the town of Wilmington. Take a tour of the deck and enjoy several exhibits as a fun day trip from your Holden Beach houses. This ship has been featured in several movies and television sets, and boasts quite a fireworks show on the Fourth of July. Virtual displays and access to actual living quarters offers a unique insight into the history of the area surrounding your North Carolina beach rentals.

While planning a vacation trip to North Carolina’s Southern Coast you might want to consider additional beach lodging options in the following destinations: Bald Head Island rentals, Carolina Beach lodging, accommodation in Sunset Beach, Wilmington beach rentals, or Topsail Island vacation rentals.
