  • Great for families, so close to the beach.

"This unit was clean, comfortable, quiet, and right there on the beach. The beach is this area was not very busy, so there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The unit is on the main street through town, so it is convenient to go to attractions, boardwalks, or shops. The town is a gem, too. The unit has a number of sand toys for the kids, along with some beach chairs. We went to the aquarium, fort, state park, and the battleship in Wilmington. We had no issues with the condo. The upper balcony is great for relaxing and watching the sea. I might suggest bringing some dark curtains if you don't want your small kids to wake up with the sun each day."

  • Amazing Week

"Coming back for more! This was our second trip to this home. Instead of one young child we had two now. Even with two, this home still blows us away with the conveniences, accessibility and space. The views are amazing as well! Being familiar with the area now, we really wanted this trip to be a relaxing adventure by the ocean rather then exploring the area. Most mornings were cool, but as soon as we were done with breakfast it was warm enough to go play by the ocean. We had a stretch of incredible weather and were able to swim in the ocean most of the days. We did take the kids to Wilmington one day and toured the Cotton Exchange and were able to walk the boardwalk down by the river. Another day, we were able to explore the aquarium which is a favorite for our children. The remaining days were spent fishing on the beach and making castles in the sand. It was truly an amazing getaway especially stepping away from the cold fall weather of Michigan. Going to this place is always an amazing trip for our family. Can't wait to look at coming back soon."

  • Beautiful property near beautiful Kure Beach

"This house worked out perfect! We went to Kure Beach in October 2014 for my nieces wedding. House is beautiful and well furnished. Convenient walk to beach. Close to Fort Fisher. Elevator was very helpful for packing and unpacking since house is 3 levels. Beach chairs, wagon and toys were great for kids. Roof deck was a spectacular place to watch beautiful sunrises. Only complaint would be that there were a few bugs on bottom floor."

  • wonderful home away from home

"Everything about our stay was exemplary: communication with the owner, the house itself, and the entire stay. The house easily accomodated six adults, four children, and an infant. Bedrooms are split between three levels so, in our case, children slept downstairs, parents on the main floor, and parents with infant upstairs--we never heard loud children staying up late playing early '90s Nintendo (nice touch!) or middle-of-the-night crying from the 3-month old. The kitchen's generally well equipped (could use a cutting board and one decent chef's knife); proximity to pool is stellar--close enough that it's a accesible, far enough that you don't hear it; beach access is a snap. Lots of beach chairs, a few carts, and umbrellas. And when you're not in the water the covered front porch is the place to be: nice and wide with comfortable furniture. This was the first time we'd been to the area (normally we go to Hilton Head). It definitely has a different vibe: this is a residential town where people actually live. So if you're expecting vacation-type entertainment (miniature golf, lots of restaurants, etc.) you'll be somewhat disappointed. That said, Wilmington is a very close one-day diversion and locals suggested a few good restaurants. This vibe extends to the neighborhood too. You definitely get the feeling people neighbors are going to work in the morning, so you almost feel like you have to walk on eggshells to not disturb them. That said, it also meant during the week the pool and beach off the private entrance are mostly vacant! All in all top-notch house, excellent owner communication, laid-back beach vibe, highly recommend!"
