"Tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean condo. You won't find anything closer to the ocean. At high tide, you're almost in the water. Clean pool, & everything is provided. Great owner communication and super easy from start to finish. The most gorgeous beach walk ever is towards Fort Fisher and directly out your door here. Loved every second."Guest: Amy H Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 8, 2014View listing
"Mike and Barbara host a beautiful home. 10 of us slept comfortably with lots of room. Clean, very close to the beach, hardly any traffic and lots to do. We arrived early and the young lady cleaning the house was very accommodating. The restaurants that Mike suggested were fantastic. The ferry to South Port is a must with all the historic film making that happened there. You have to eat at Fishy Fishy!!! Also get the chili mango salt water taffy in the town of South Port....BAM! The Fort Fisher Museum tour is a must as well as the aquarium. Around mid week take off to Wilmington. The battleship, places to eat, Irish pubs and the shops. Take the small boat tour of the river...really cool. Once back to Kure go to the Fort Fisher Rec for lunch at the little diner. What a view. Cool concerts happening at the Rec, Carolina Beach and Kure through the week. Mike and Barbara thank you so much for offering your home to us. LOVED IT! Jeff and Robin ... from "The" Ohio State area..."Guest: Jeff Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
"We had a blast at this rental this past weekend. The weather was perfect, the beaches were not crowded, and the property was located close to the town center for a concert and masked parade. The house itself is spacious with a large eat-in kitchen and another table in the adjoining room. The beds were comfortable and there were a lot of them. By my count, 9 people could be accommodated (though the contract allows 8) - without using any of the couches! At night, the property was very quiet - even the front room along the street. The town is very picturesque with a pier to walk out on (free if not fishing) and swings along a nice-sized boardwalk. We ate at both Big Daddy's and Jack Mackeral's restaurants and were pleased both times. The dogs were happy because a dog park was only about 4 blocks away, plus they could go on the beach and play in the waves also (after September 30th). There were quite a few fisherman, which made it a bit challenging to walk along the beachfront, but they dwindled to only a few in the afternoons. I hope to return next year to enjoy another long weekend!"Guest: Wendy Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 14, 2014View listing
