  • Great Condo!

"This condo was wonderful! It was well appointed down to the little details that made our stay very homey. The furnishings were very pretty, clean and updated. The location was convenient to restaurants, shopping and the beaches. The condo owners made everything easy and stress free. We made our reservations last minute and they were very accommodating. We look forward to a longer stay next time."

  • Very enjoyable extended stay

"I had a very enjoyable time for a few weeks that I spent in the unit on a workcation. The owner was great to deal with and had very good communication. He made sure that I had everything I needed before arrival and let me know that I could contact him with any needs - I didn't have any, as everything was as expected and had no issues. I would rent again without a second thought. The down sides are that it can be a little tough to get a tee time scheduled for renters (do-able, just takes a bit of work) and that points outside the neighborhood can be a bit of a drive, if you are used to having things very convenient to you. Not terribly long, just a little out of the way. I spent most of my "outside the gates" in the downtown Southport area, which took about 15-20 minutes to get to. Oak Island areas were a bit more. But, the neighborhood is very nice and the condo was a perfect size for my needs. So, if your first thought is beach (reachable, just not very close), this is might not be the place, but otherwise, it make a great getaway in a very nice gated community. Although the town of Southport tended to be very quiet most evenings, their Winterfest celebration was very nice. Lots of good places to eat around there, stay away from the chain food and get the good local stuff."

  • Wonderful

"My in-laws stayed in the condo while visiting for Christmas. Walt was very responsive to all emails and questions. The condo was clean and well-appointed, and they were more than satisfied with the accommodations. I would recommend this to others and we will definitely use this condo again for future visits."

  • All this an heaven too

"We live only a couple of hours from here and have visited Southport several times. Day trips from Holden Beach mostly. We are mid way through our week visit and I am already disappointed that we will have to go home. The location is perfect. Views breathtaking. Condo beautifully appointed and lavishly supplied. Comfortable beds and furniture, more kitchen gear than Emeril needs, REALLY CLEAN, ......and so on. Sounds like what everyone else said. We agree with all the superlatives! We will be back. What is missing from some reviews is the BEST part. Location. Not to the water. That is obvious. To the town. An easy, elegant walk anywhere here. As a "day tripper" I never appreciated this little Garden of Eden. We came to look in a couple of antique stores, eat seafood on the water and head back to the beach. Sidewalks everywhere. Ditto trash cans so no littler. Lots of green space. Cemetaries to wander through. Signs at every turn with succinct information about the past. Little boats, huge cargo ships, fisherman, quaint historical "cottages", swings and benches with stories to tell of loved ones...don't plan on a fast walk. I especially love that the dog earred cottage with junque in the yard and on the porch sits proudly by the million dollar renovation. Hollywood has not arrived here. This is where people live. Lovely, friendly, welcoming people. And this warm, nurturing, happy nest is a grand place to enjoy it all. PS - Owner is available, accommodating and funny"
