  • Best rental experience we've had

"We had such a great vacation in this lovely home. It was the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in, and that means a lot coming from a "germaphobe." Very kid friendly - our 4-year-old was sound asleep when we arrived at midnight, but she lit up the moment she got inside and ran from room to room exclaiming she wanted to live there. We loved the pool and how close it was to the house. The private outdoor shower for bathing/cleaning the kids before heading inside after a beach day was a great feature. We just kept soap right there, and they were cleaned and ready to go in and nap. The rooms are bright and airy, yet closing the curtains kept it dark enough for naps. Lots of places in Kure Beach to go for a nice long run. Kitchen was well stocked, and the wagon for carrying beach chairs and umbrella (which the house also had) was great. The walk to the beach was very short. The only negative was that my inlaws didn't care for the stairs due to my mother-in-law's injured ankle, but she managed and overall had a nice stay. We would recommend this vacation rental to anyone."

  • Awesome Condo.....Awesome Owners.....Awesome Island!!!

"It's hard to put into words our stay at this condo on Oak Island. Before we booked, we read the reviews and were very impressed. We are so happy we picked this condo. The first thing is......Phil (owner along with wife) was just the nicest and most helpful person through the whole process. He was always there to answer our phones calls and answer any questions. The condo was fully stocked and felt like being at home with all our comforts. The view at the eating table and side deck was so pretty every morning to see the ocean and the seagulls. The wonderful beach cart was most helpful for all the beach umbrellas, chairs, coolers and so much more. The beach was a short walk and the condo pool was just as lovely. The elevator was a BIG plus since there are lots of steps up to the 3rd floor. You will have everything around you and just behind the condos are different shops, grocery store, sub place and the famous Dairy Queen. A short walk to a happy end of day with ice cream cones and sundaes! Anyone who books this place will not go wrong! It was clean, comfortable beds, TV in every room and helpful places to eat and see. Do yourself a favor, and explore the end of the island. It is so gorgeous too! Thanks Phil and family for allowing us to share your beautiful condo and to give our daughter, son-in-law and grandson an amazing vacation on wonderful Oak Island, NC. God bless your family .... Wrightsville Beach Travel Tips

Nestled into North Carolina's New Hanover County is the lovely little town of Wrightsville Beach, boasting 4 miles of sandy island.

Luckily, Wrightsville Beach is the state's the most accessible and filled with a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy. With such an amazing climate and gorgeous natural views, you'll want to spend as much time as you can soaking up the sun's rays. It's a great spot for for endless family fun, especially if you love water sports like kayaking, kite-boarding and surfing. In between the adventures and exploring, take some time to relax as you gaze out across the shimmering waters or cast a line and hope for a bite.

Things to Do in Wrightsville Beach

- Wrightsville Beach Museum of History: Step back in time as you cross the threshold of the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History and experience the progression of the town through the years. The museum is housed in a turn-of-the-century Myers Cottage. Inside you'll find a cool scale model of Wrightsville Beach circa 1910 as well as exhibits depicting the early days of the town, hurricane history and how the interaction between the people of Wrightsville Beach and nature shaped the 100 years of history here. See exhibits such as "The History of the Bathing Suit," which is a collection of vintage advertisements, and the "Wish You Were Here!" postcard exhibit. The museum was designed to display how a typical life was on the beach in this community, and the best part is that admission to the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History is free.

It extends more than 1,200 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, so there's plenty of space for fishermen. The pier was named after John "Johnnie" Mercer, an American lyricist, songwriter and singer from the mid-1930s through the mid-1950s. Mercer wrote more than 1,500 songs and received several awards. he was also a co-founder of Capitol Records. Now you can head to his pier with your tackle box, grab your favorite lure and hope for a bite or two.

This home-grown establishment is beloved by its loyal customers who enjoy dining both inside as well as on the front deck and lawn. It's a great place to relax and enjoy each other's company as much as the food. Try the omelets, wraps or waffles to start the day off right.
