  • Great Location

"We stayed the week of July 12th- July 19th. The condo was very clean, close to the beach, and shopping. We loved the Oak Island area. It is not as touristy as other beaches in the Carolinas. I would have given the condo 5 stars if we had received the pool pass on the day we arrived. The rental company had a sticky note telling us we needed to return on Monday to sign for the pool pass. We had confirmed an after hours check in both verbally and in writing before we left for vacation. I was a bit upset the needed paperwork was not completed before we arrived."

  • Condo at the beach-Nice place

"Our family of 5 (3 kids aged 14, 11, and 8) stayed for a weekend. The Condo was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Neighbors or other renters we encountered were all very nice and friendly. There were plenty of games to choose from for the kids, they loved Uno during the evenings and rainy times. Kids also loved having a pool and tennis courts right there and we loved that we could sit up in the condo and watch them on the courts. I walked over to the waterway to check out the scene a few times and take pictures. Very nice stay."

  • Just perfect!

"'Harley's Better Half', this cozy cottage ON the oceanfront, was precisely what we had hoped for as a much-needed, relaxing, haven for us two overworked folks. The house is comfortable and casual and well-kept, and the owners - Bob and Donna Harley - are fine people whom we immediately liked and respected. We also just fell in love with Holden Beach as a community, and the great people who live there. As is said, 'The proof is in the pudding': we have already reserved the cottage again for next spring and fall. :) - Ken and Linda, Virginia"

  • Great House for Family and Friends!

"Great house in a quiet neighborhood close the beach. We (4 adults & 4 kids) brought bikes and rode to the private beach entrance everyday. Kure Beach is a nice little quiet town, without all of the traffic and bustle of the bigger beach towns. Reminds me of the beach trips when I was a kid in the early 80's. The house is big and comfortable with great kitchen for cooking fun family meals. I hope to return this summer!"

The museum is housed in a turn-of-the-century Myers Cottage.
