  • A great birthday retreat

"The house was clean and in good order. My wife Karen and myself choose to have ours sons 16th birthday at this lake house.our family's loved this house and it's location. Me and the the young men caught many catfish and bass. I even had a large catfish pull my rod into lake Norman. The house is great, the air is cold and it is clean. We will be renting it again this summer"

  • Outstanding Lake Norman Retreat/Resort

"I spent the last week of August at this wonderful Lodge. The place was everything it shows in the pictures - spacious, well kept, comfortable and very close to shopping and fine restaurants (Big Daddy's was outstanding). The owner's were very accommodating - easy to work with and responsive. 2 Kayaks came with the rental - they were well used by my family. I also chose to rent a 24' pontoon boat from this owner - it came with a 2 person tube which was drug behind the 120 hp outboard on the pontoon boat. Do not rent a Lake Norman Lakefront property without a boat - the lake is enormous, clean and a total blast when on the water."

  • A Great Family Get Together

"My family rented this lake house while we visited Statesville, NC for a wedding. The house is very large with great spaces for hanging out as a family. And lots of small private decks, porches and hideaways if you need personal time away from your group. We appreciated that each bedroom had its own private bathroom as well as a guest half bath. The weather in early October is great as we took advantage of the large deck for grilling and the smaller sunny spaces on both the dock and waterfront deck. Not really sure which side of the lake we were on, but is was the sunny side, important for those renting later in the year. The kitchen set up made it easy for food prep and even when we were spread out in different rooms, we still felt connected to one another. Did I mention commercial ice maker! The property was clean and the outdoor spaces and landscaping were well taken care of. If I had the opportunity I would rent this property again, but stay longer and bring a boat, jet ski or something that floats in order to take advantage of the lake. (water was 75 degrees)."

  • Best House on Gaston!

"We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday party at the Hideaway house. I can't say enough good things about it. Perfect for multi-families, which we had and we never felt like we were on top of one another. There's lots to do, great view of Lake Gaston, and the house was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be going back to the Hideaway for sure. Will also mention it was great working with Andre and Nancy, very responsive, organized, and friendly couple."
