  • Absolutely the best VRBO ever!

"I have used VRBO many times in the past in my travels and have to say this was the most welcoming, warm and inviting apartment I have ever stayed. The apartment is in a beautifully restored building within the Dilworth Historic District, which is a lovely, walking neighborhood. We could tell at first sight that it was well maintained and cared for. Jim requested that I call him when we arrived so he would know we arrived safely which was I thought was very special. He answered promptly and made sure to say he was available if we had questions about the apartment or needed additional information about the area. (He had sent me info and a map via email on local shops, grocery stores and restaurants along with his recommendations - many within walking distance). When my sister and I arrived in the evening the lights were on, classical music was playing and a platter of fresh fruits, English muffins, coffee, cookies, nuts, dried pasta and sauce, and red wine were waiting for us. The refrigerator was stocked with orange juice, white wine, butter, and sparking water. I had everything I needed for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. How many home owners think of all those little things. The living room was warm and comfortable and had a retro looking bar stocked with tonic/soda water, fresh limes and crystal containers of vodka, gin and scotch. There was also a note welcoming us and to enjoy the amenities. The bathrooms had thick, luxurious towels along with hotel sized soaps and lotions and a blow dryer. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with lots of pillows and high quality linen and each room had plenty of drawers which made it easy to unpack and feel right at home. The apartment was on the second floor so there are stairs to climb and had a large open deck where we sat and watched the world go by. We came back to our, " home away from home," Sunday afternoon after completing a 2 day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 39.3 mile walk and enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck while watching several families walking home with arms full of pumpkins from a local pumpkin patch. I would not hesitate to stay at any of the properties offered by Home Collection when I travel back to Charlotte. Jim and James' attention to detail made our stay in Charlotte even more special and I would highly recommend their properties to anyone. (James it was a pleasure meeting and talking with you and I hope our paths cross again)!"

  • This House Has THE "WOW" FACTOR!! Top Shelve Throughout!

"This is an absolutely amazing property. It is luxurious, comfortable, convenient and exceptionally clean. The owner and her property manager were very prompt, friendly and proactive in answering any questions that arose from before, during and after our stay. They definitely offered the good ole southern hospitality at its finest. The home is enormous with plenty space filled with all the amenities you can think of and more. It provides easy and convenient outdoor access from every suite area, making your own living quarters very private. Everything is top shelve throughout. The Outdoor Tiki Bar is an awesome feature poolside, there were plenty rafts, lounge chairs, and umbrella's for shade; making the atmosphere relaxing and perfect for "day drinking". We loved that the lake was not crowded nor rowdy whatsoever, making it comfortable and safe for the kids tubing and the elders pontooning. We had a great time! Our family made memories of a lifetime "Living in Luxury on High Rock Lake" at a very affordable and fair price. We brought a boat and rented a pontoon there. We had family members from 6 to 76 and everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously. We all unanimously highly recommend this place!!"

  • Perfect!

"I just returned from a trip to Griff's Place in late July. Wonderful, beautiful, peaceful, fantastic. There are not enough adjectives to describe how special Griff's Place is. It was exactly what I wanted and more. Griff's comes with a fully stocked kitchen, linens, books, movies, games and extra comfy blankets and pillows for the couch. I couldn't have asked for anything else. I haven't had such a relaxing, peaceful vacation in a long time and Griff's Place did the trick. It's tranquil but welcoming/joyous and I enjoyed both my quiet mornings reading on the upstairs deck and everlasting memories with good friends on the patio in the afternoon and evenings overlooking the lake. It's private and cozy but full of life and I'm grateful to have experienced it. To Martha, thank you! Not only was the home immaculate, you've made it welcoming and soothing in every way possible. I adored you immediately and hope we continue to see each other on what is now my new annual retreat to a little slice of heaven."

"Our family had a wonderful time at Miller's Lake Front Villa. We enjoyed the pool table, foosball table, and swimming in the lake. We found the place to clean and accurately represented by the description and photos. The home was spacious enough that on the day in rained, our family with 5 grown children had plenty of room indoors to have fun. The owner was prompt in responding to emails. I would definitely recommend this property to others."
