Lake Gaston Beautiful Home
"What more can you say about a home that has it all. I went with my 3 siblings families for a total of 18 people. The home is so big you are never feel cramped with two levels of family rooms. One night the adults watched the Presidential debate downstairs while big brother was on upstairs. The main reason to come is the lake and the boat dock does not disappoint. We have countless pics of everyone jumping off the second level one at a time in sync! The view is spectacular from the top deck with plenty of seating there and all over the back areas. Fishing was best after dusk where we caught many catfish and others with worms and chicken liver from the piggly wiggly in Littleton. It is about 10 minutes away and has everything you need. The pizzeria next door was great too which serves as a good first dinner while unpacking. Walmart is 25-30 min away as well. We rented a pontoon boat from Stonehouse Timber Lodge with a 115 hp motor which gave everyone good tubing rides. One night the adults only went out on a sunset cruise and jumped in the lake at the middle for one of the best memories and nighttime swimming. There wasn't a boat on the lake and it was if it were all our own. The Stonehouse staff was so friendly and gave us great fishing tips from their tackle shop. We brought kayaks with us and made trips to the deserted little island not far off the point I believe called Goat Island. All the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The bonus room by itself on the top story was my brothers family sanctuary. The property is very big and the walk to the boathouse very easy. Each morning my wife and I took walks around the neighborhood for alone time looking at local homes dreaming of lake living. The Starbucks room was the local hanging out area where if someone dared to get up the seat was quickly taken. We all left knowing we would be missing this fine lake home. We would love to come again as the owners were very responsive and caring with any minor issue that came up. Our entire family felt we left the home just as we found it to make an easy transition for the cleaners for the next set of guests eager to arrive. Thank you Paula and Perry for letting us call your home our home for the week! Kevin from Long Island, NY"

"Nine of us ages 74-10 just spent a delightful week in this lovely home. The owners have spared no expense in keeping the home updated, clean and well stocked. They provide a pedal boat, chairs for the dock, and lots of information on the location - where to go and what to do. We loved diving and fishing off the dock - not at the same time. We caught catfish, small fry, and ta da....4 large mouth bass. We threw all but one back and had the nicest guy in world clean and debone one of the bass for us. We highly recommend renting a pontoon boat from Timber Lodge. Mike and Tyler are so nice and Mike is the guy who knows how to clean fish. We got two nice size filets from 3.5 lb bass and they were delicious. The home's location is pretty central to what you need. Taking garbage and recycling to a dump is inconvenient but I guess pretty standard for that setting. The DSL worked fine but we were in one of the few spots left in the country where you cannot call or text from your cell phone. I loved it but some of my group went through withdrawal. There is a sunroom that is perfect for family dining and playing Texas Hold'em, A cocktail table on which we did 2 puzzles, and a kitchen table that we used for cards and games. We didn't try any of the nearby restaurants because the online reviews weren't flattering. We loved Hwy 55 burgers though. The grill works as do all the kitchen appliances. We recommend Paradise on Lake Gaston to all who want a wonderful get-away place."

"This home was great. The kitchen was well stocked and the items were CLEAN! That is not always the case. The house was also very clean. The set up of the home was perfect for our group. The kids took over the downstairs while the adults enjoyed the upstairs. The only issue we had with this place was that the cove is tight and we had a hard time docking the boat. We do have a 22' boat so that may be the issue! I would rent this house every year if it were in a larger cove. The owners obviously take good care of this place."

"Thank you to Joe for making this a fabulous vacation for our family. Our last family vacation was back in 2007, so we were very much looking forward to this needed getaway…and this house and the location did not disappoint. Every aspect of the home was perfect. Plenty of room, great level yard for games and hanging out, and just gorgeous views from every angle. A week full of swimming, boating, and relaxing in this gorgeous home. We've already contacted the owner for 2016!! Thank you!!"
