  • Fabulous Location and Family Friendly!

"We were very pleased with the rental house. It comfortably slept 4 adults and 2 children and was wonderfully equipped for young children. Owners were friendly and the dock set up was excellent for a boat rental."

  • Review of Henrico House

"Beautiful house with excellent outdoor space! Large screened in porch with dining table and upscale grill pull you outside. Rocking chairs, grass and of course the lake call you to kick back and relax. The bedrooms were small with no dressers so all clothes and luggage had to go in the [smallish] closets. Both bathrooms were upstairs and one of them was in the master suite. That left the folks sleeping downstairs having to go upstairs. Either the folks in the master suite had to share their bath or 9 people had to share the one common bathroom. These draw backs would not prevent me from returning but good to know for planning. There was a living room space both upstairs and downstairs [downstairs rather large] allowing at least 2 spaces for people to gather and talk. The kitchen was large and would easily accommodate cooking for the house. The property was very clean and well-maintained. Working with the owner in scheduling and answering my questions was very pleasant. I would return and recommend it to my friends."

  • Had a wonderful Stay!

"We had a wonderful time at Camp Langtree. The home was well appointed and stocked with all we needed for personal items and it was cleaned immaculately. We have been timeshare owners for many years, and have rented other personally owned homes during the past few years. I can personally say this is the cleanest and best appointed home we have stayed in. Since I am such a clean freak, that was very important to me. After getting their NC fishing license, Dad and son took advantage of the fishing opportunity off the dock while I caught some sun. We enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake Norman, what a wonderful way to wake up each morning! We were disappointed in having to leave a day early due to the Severe storms moving into the Northeast. Thanks so much to Kathy and Tim for their personal and thoughtful touches and sharing their beautiful home with us!"

  • We didn't want to leave!

"My husband and I stayed in this beautiful, eclectic, light-filled pied-à-terre 4 nights while we were waiting to move into our town home in Uptown Charlotte. I chose this vacation rental because I wanted an historic property that had a lot of character but wasn't stuffy - also one that would appeal to our 30 year old son, who was flying in from Texas to surprise my husband on his birthday (the day after we arrived). This property is every bit as wonderful as the images portray it - a visual feast of color, texture, light and sound. Yes, when we arrived there was classical music playing softly in the background, the lights were on and the bar-cart was set up a-la Madmen with scotch and vodka and gin-filled decanters. Jim had left a lot of goodies out for us, including nuts and snacks and cookies, pasta and marinara from Trader Joe's. Because our son was going to arrive at the vacation rental while my husband and I were out, Jim made sure he had a key to key to get in. I remember getting a text from our son after he arrived saying, "This place is awesome!!!" The interior design is so amazing, but there are certain elements that stand out in memory - the paintings by a local artist that remind me of Basquiat, the chandelier above the dining table, the dining table itself (I believe it is a Salterini), the cozy little sun room overlooking big trees, the French settee, the Phillipe Stark ghost chairs and the very well-equipped kitchen. We ate breakfast there every day and every evening we had drinks before and after dinner. The experience of being there as a family was a great birthday gift for my husband - something we all enjoyed immensely."
