  • Great home!

"Great home, great layout! Very spacious and the Pictures don't do this home justice. Huge walk in closets!Home had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this home. The upstairs bed was way to soft, wasn't a good night sleep on that, but I expected that from other reviews. My only complaint is the cleaning. I wish it was done professionally. Some dishes were put away dirty, it was alittle dusty, Downstairs fridge was dirty and the kitchen floor had dried food stains in two spots. Once I cleaned in up I was able to relax and enjoy our thanksgiving getaway. I didn't let that ruin our great time!"

  • Comfy Cottage

"This adorable little cottage was comfortable and clean. The décor was charming. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The pillows on the beds are really thick, so if you like that, you're in luck. If you need a smaller or thinner pillow, you may want to bring your own. :) The weather was still warm enough to take our boat out and enjoy beautiful Lake Norman. We had a daily visit from a sweet neighbor dog named Ted. (I believe that's what his name was) The state park is just down the road so we enjoyed hiking the trails. The fall colors were amazing. Lots of vivid yellow, red and orange leaves on the trees. We discovered a quaint but beautiful vineyard not far away where we listened to a live band and were introduced to new white and red wines. It was a nice treat to happen upon this. The vineyard is named Daveste, after the owners. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and very clean. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again."

  • Sheltered Cove

"We had a wonderful week at Sheltered Cove. We really enjoyed the lake, the boat, the screened in porch (where we ate all of our meals) and just everything about the cottage! We also caught a lot of fish right off the dock, one which was a 4 or 5 lb. large mouth bass. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful cottage with us and making this such a memorable vacation for our family."

  • Family Favorite

"My family and I gathered for a week's vacation at the "Shores of Norman". I must admit that I was skeptical due to not one review being posted. I'm so glad that I took a chance on this property! When entering the home, I ran into the owners and they were so kind and courteous. It was already the beginning of a great trip! Upon entering I was amazed at the beautiful wood detail, which is noticeable in every room! After that moment of awe, I began to settle in to enjoy time with my family! Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was a major plus and they were all extremely comfortable and roomy. The home has such positive energy and this is the most comfortable I've ever been when away from home. The lake is so accessible and the kids and adults in our group loved spending time together in the water. The depth of the water gradually increased and that was great because we could easily find our limits in the water. If the water is not your cup of tea, then one has the opportunity to sit on the dock, the deck off the main level, the screened in porch or the front porch. My family and I enjoyed every aspect of this house. We sat on the front porch in the evening, we had dinner in the screened in porch, we gossiped on the main level deck when we needed a break from each other and we gathered on the dock to take pictures in order to create memories. I must admit that I was worried about the limited number of televisions in the bedrooms, but this caused my family to spend more time with each other! The playground was an added bonus for the kids! This rental is a must and one that I highly recommend! The accommodations, the lake views, and the memories that a family could create here are absolutely wonderful! I hope you enjoy as much as we did!!!!!"
