"This home was everything it was advertised to be. It was very well-stocked, even with items that most rentals do not supply. Neither the pictures nor the description is misleading. We were here as part of a high school senior trip, and our students were absolutely awestruck."Guest: Craig W. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 9, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed at Nell's Farm House for four days. When we pulled into the carport Deb and Norman were right there to greet us. They took the time to show us around and to give us a brief history of the house. We had all the amenities needed for our stay, and a great deal of room. Each room was nicely decorated for comfort and well being. The beds were extremely comfortable as was all of the lovely, vintage furniture in Nell's home. I loved the large kitchen and sitting area that led to an open deck to the back yard and pasture. Deb and Norman have a great love of horses. There were several horses grazing in the pasture during the day, and again, at night. It was nice to come home at night and sit on the deck to watch the horses, as well as the hundreds of fireflies that lit the night skies. It was so calming after a hectic day of visiting relatives and sightseeing. The house is centrally located to Historic Downtown Shelby. There were a number of very nice restaurants and shops in town. A wonderful little town full of history and charm. I am a lover of history and antiques. Nell's home, as well as downtown Shelby, was the perfect place for me to be. I so enjoyed my stay in that lovely house. We intend to visit the area next Spring and have every intention of staying at Nell's House... Our home away from home. Thank you Deb & Norman for your gracious hospitality. Your kindness meant a great deal to Phil and I. I'll be in touch!"Guest: Catherine A. "Let me start off by saying the pictures don't do this property any justice, the land and layout of this house is amazing. Took my family up there for the panthers and steelers game game and decided to stay at home during the game because of all the amenities this rental has. The owners were very professional and helpful, heck they even included fishing rods. We caught so much fish off the dock and had multiple fish fry's. It was like a scene out of a movie we are were sitting at the dock talking not noticing our line was gone then realized we had a huge fish on the end but it got away. (Memories), made up for it though with a few huge catches! I would definetly recommend this houde to someone who is an outdoorsman and loves sports, the man cave with the pool table is totally awesome. We will definetly be back maybe even before the year closes out"Guest: Purple Heart Soldier (HOOAH!!) Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 3, 2014View listing
"Incredible vacation house with every conveivable amenity you or the kids could need or want. The owners were great to work with and the property was overall very clean and organized! We had rain more often than not but the layout of the house was ideal for handling a larger group of various ages inside. Access to the canoe and paddleboat were an added bonus. Note travel time into Mooresville at certain times will be significantly longer."Guest: Angela S. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 18, 2014View listing
