  • A place in heaven!

"We stopped at whippoorwill cabin on our way to the beach. We could not have been more happy. Kelly was so helpful and worked great with our schedule. Upon arriving to the cabin we were so delighted. The cabin offers such updated amenities with the rustic feel you want in a cabin! The first thing when walking in it smelled great, it was clean, inviting and homey! It has everything you need. All linens are provided. The kitchen was amazing, the bed was comfortable. The huge bath tub was so nice. That's just the inside. We could of sat on the front porch for days just rocking in the rocking chairs and drinking tea! My daughter who is 6 and loves to catch bugs was in heaven, she chased grass hoppers for hours. We enjoyed fishing and looking for bullfrogs! We went for a walk in the woods and picked wild blackberries! It is so close to mt airy. We visited the cute town, went to hanging rock and pilot mountain. It's the perfect cabin, in the perfect location! This will be our new stopping point from Ohio down to the beach every year! The only thing missing is a hammock on the porch for an afternoon nap in paradise!"

  • Weekend at the lake

"We enjoyed a long weekend at the lake and this house was a great place to spend it. The owner was accommodating and answered my questions in a timely manner. The house itself was plenty spacious for 8 adults and a baby, and had tons of amenities. We brought our ski boat and were able to tie it up to the dock and enjoy the calm waters of Lizard Creek (just outside of the cove) and Pea Hill Creek (only a 10 minute ride away). Location was also close to Food Lion and gas station/convenience store. Great house, great locations, and would definitely stay here again next time."

  • Best family week end ever!!

"The six and on half (15 month old) needed a break from life and the Cowboy house made a great location, spacious for when we needed our own time and big enough for all of us to be together. Great meals were, pool tournaments lost and won. Lake is steps away and all the guys enjoyed the fishing (hard to pull them in to dinner). Great place, great manager, thank you again Beverly!!"

Mount Airy Travel Tips

Mount Airy Vacation Rentals Take You Back to Mayberry

Mount Airy's claim to fame is as the "real life" Mayberry, the town where The Andy Griffith Show took place. Year round you can have a pork sandwich at Snappy Lunch or grab a bag of sweets from Opie's Candy Shop. There is even an Andy Griffith Museum that is worth a visit for entertainment buffs. Annually held in September, Mayberry Days celebrates locally born Andy Griffith and the town that was the inspiration for Mayberry with festivities for all ages.

Mount Airy Vacation Rentals Are Close to Great Events

Live Bluegrass is a regular Saturday morning affair in Downtown Mount Airy and, in October, the Autumn Leaves Festival showcases local Bluegrass and Gospel musicians, artisans with unique crafts, and soul food served up with southern hospitality. There are over two dozen wineries close to your Mount Airy vacation house, including The Old North State Winery right in downtown, which is the only winery that is also a microbrewery in North Carolina.

Nature's Bounty Sits at the Doorstep of Mount Airy Vacation Houses

North Carolina Heartland vacation homes put you close to some of the best outdoor action in the state. Located at the bottom of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Mount Airy vacation houses make it easy to get outside and play. Just fifteen minutes from your Mount Airy vacation rental is the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469-mile road that boasts beautiful fall foliage, spring wildflower blossoms, and recreational opportunities along the road in all seasons, including fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, and viewing Cherokee heritage exhibits.

Canoe or kayak on the Yadkin River with Yadkin River Adventures, pick your own cherries at Levering Orchard, or fish in Tumbling Rock Reservoir. Less than an hour's drive away are Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock state parks, which feature even more fun in the fresh air.
