"My family just returned from a 2 week vacation in this home. First I will say that the home is actually larger than the pictures represent. I thought that it being a log cabin – it would be smaller – but we actually had more than plenty of space for 10 people. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials and we loved the big kitchen table and view of the lake. The location of the home was great! Very close access to boat launch, restaurants and the store. In addition – the little cove that the home is on was great for use of the kayak and paddle-boat (definitely should rent these!) – we were quite comfortable with letting our kids play out there without worrying about boat traffic. The yard was great – plenty of space for the kids to run around with options for both sun and shade and the fire pit was a huge hit for roasting marshmallows! We also really enjoyed watching the sunset with a glass of wine from the top of the dock.
The only negative experience of our vacation was the fact that the boat & Jet Ski lifts were a challenge for most of our visit. The property manager – Randy was AWESOME and tried to help as much as he could, but we learned that most people that rent the home do not bring boats or jet skis but maybe rent a pontoon boat that they tie up – if that is you then this is a GREAT place for that! If you do plan to bring a boat or jet ski – you will want to make sure that the lifts have actually been serviced and have tested with weight on them going all the way up and down multiple times.
Our family would absolutely consider renting this house again!"

"Our vacation was as good if not better than the past 10 at a beach home with a pool in Delaware. Being from Ohio,we had heard about Lake Norman from friends and neighbors and decided to give it a try. This home and location made a fantastic change and we liked it so much we have already reserved it for next year. The description on VRBO of this home is exactly what you get and more. Perfect for a large family ,we had 8 adults and 4 children with room to spare and plenty of space to get away for privacy if anyone needed it. We can't wait till next year to enjoy another fantastic home and a great family vacation."

"This was a mini vacation for us. We only stayed 3 nights. It was me, my husband, my son and his friend. They had a good time using the kayaks that the cottage provided. We did not swim in the immediate area due to the many sea shells that lay on the sand. My son and his friend went fishing but they only caught very small fish and they had to throw it back in the water. We all rented a pontoon boat at lake Wylie and that was a lot of fun. We stopped and parked the boat on the sand bar and went swimming there and had lunch at T-Bones. My son and his buddy wanted to rent a jet ski but time did not allow. The house had character, was comfortably furnished and extremely well stocked and kept very neat and clean. The AC worked fine. There were two full closets of towels, blankets and linens. There was also many board games, DVD's, and books for you to enjoy. Again, it was very well stocked. The name and number of the cleaning lady was provided in case you needed anything. It also had a room with a washer and dryer for your convenience. There was a huge flat screen TV in the living room. There was also a guest grill on the deck. The owner was very nice. We never met her but she called me on our arrival date to see how things were going. She told me that she only lived 10 minutes away and made herself available if needed. We had a couple of questions and texted her during our stay, which she responded immediately. The city of Charlotte was only 20 minutes away and stores were 10 minutes away.
If I were to vacation there again, I would love to see a fenced in area on the side of the house for our two dogs to run and play and also have a shell free beach area for easy access to the lake so you can swim and not be afraid to injure your feet. All - in- all, we had a very nice time and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy other near by amenities and great restaurants."
