  • Great Lake House!

"This is my families fifth year at the lake for Labor Day weekend and California Dreamin' was one of the best experiences to-date. There are a lot of great things to say about Sondra's house starting with the owner and her property manager Robbie. They both were very nice to deal with and I enjoyed speaking with them throughout the whole process. We have never dealt with a homeowner who made herself more available/reachable than Sondra. She was extremely motivated in making sure my family and I were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house itself was just as the pictures depicted, beautiful and comfortable. The lot was wonderful also. You had main lake views without main lake traffic which made for the most family friendly swimming environment we've experienced at Lake Gaston so far. We had several little ones that had a great time swimming off Sondra's little beach while the big kids were tubing and skiing out on the lake, the best of both worlds. I could go on and on, but trust me when I tell you that you will not regret renting California Dreamin' if you chose to do so. 5- Stars all the way!!"

  • Great, homey cross between a condo and a hotel

"This is a well-furnished and maintained apartment, great for a short to medium term stay in Charlotte. The location is excellent, quiet but near Uptown and Midtown amenities, as well as the greenway. In addition to a nice living space, there is a great screened porch. It came stocked not only with necessities like tp and towels, but also the fixings of a first meal and some wine and local publications. The owners are extremely accomodating and thoughtful!"

  • Excellent BANG for your buck!

"This is the 2nd time we rented this house for our annual mini-family vacation/reunion. This house meets ALL of our needs. The house is clean, could use updating (some mattresses could use softening up a bit), but for the price, well worth it! Very well stocked with kitchen, linens, towels, etc. Plenty of room to park/house several boats (we take a pontoon, ski-boat, and jet-ski). There are not a lot of steps (2 spiral staircases in the house, which probably may not be SMALL child or debilitated elderly safe without supervision/help). Swimming and fishing from the large private docks is fantastic! Deep enough where you do not get your feet in the muck! There are bigger, newer houses to rent, but you pay out the nose for them! I would rather be comfortable and have a great location and still have $$ to enjoy my time! We LOVE this rental and look forward to renting again next year! (we slept 12 comfortably) 10 adults, 2 children ages 8 and 16. Management is EXCELLENT to work with and even allowed us to book an additional day at the last minute! Before it's over, we may be staying a whole week!"

  • Great location and size, nice deep water cove

"This house was perfect for our large family with several college kids and another family who visited with smaller children for the day. The house was clean and updated. The kitchen was not shown in house photos but was completely fine and the applicances all looked updated. We loved the big family room and screened porch. The view from the dining nook was wonderful. We also loved the deep water cove which was perfect for skiing and water sports. The dock was also great and had a nice seating area as well. Added bonus was convenient location to grocery store!"
