"We can't say enough of good things about this vacation home! From the minute we stepped into the house, we felt like it was a home away from home, both warm and inviting. We were highly impressed with how clean the house was. With a forest on one side and a kind neighbor on the other side, we felt like it was private and family friendly. We all enjoyed the game room downstairs. The conversion of having a pool table turn into a ping pong table was both inventive and convenient. We spent everyday on the lake, whether it was on the pontoon rental (which I highly suggest renting), the kayaks, or just floating on the inflatable rafts (left in the boat house). With the water being 12 feet at the end of the dock and the large secluded swimming area, it made it easier and fun to cool off on the hot humid days. We even had diving competitions off the diving board on afternoon. Even though we had trouble with the grill, the owner, Mary, took care of it ASAP. She was a gem to work we thank you for that. The pictures didn't do the rental more than exceeded our expectations! Thank you to this wonderful family for renting this house to us. It will definitely be a summer to remember. We will definitely consider coming back to this home away from home!"

  • A place in heaven!

"We stopped at whippoorwill cabin on our way to the beach. We could not have been more happy. Kelly was so helpful and worked great with our schedule. Upon arriving to the cabin we were so delighted. The cabin offers such updated amenities with the rustic feel you want in a cabin! The first thing when walking in it smelled great, it was clean, inviting and homey! It has everything you need. All linens are provided. The kitchen was amazing, the bed was comfortable. The huge bath tub was so nice. That's just the inside. We could of sat on the front porch for days just rocking in the rocking chairs and drinking tea! My daughter who is 6 and loves to catch bugs was in heaven, she chased grass hoppers for hours. We enjoyed fishing and looking for bullfrogs! We went for a walk in the woods and picked wild blackberries! It is so close to mt airy. We visited the cute town, went to hanging rock and pilot mountain. It's the perfect cabin, in the perfect location! This will be our new stopping point from Ohio down to the beach every year! The only thing missing is a hammock on the porch for an afternoon nap in paradise!"

"Great location, family loved the lake, but the fishing was not what I expected. Had a few bad weather days but can't control nature. My grand children loved the big yard had a water balloon fight and when it was clear enjoyed the pier. My only concern was there was a problem with hornets, Candice did come and take care of it promply. Overall I would do it again would suggest cable or satalite TV for rainy days I am a bit of a sports fan and not being able to a least catch a game was unfortunate. As for nearby attraction loved the pigs in the city even went to Thomasville to see the big chest of drawers kids loved it and did try a few BBQ places. The property overall was clean and well maintained. Even though I am handicap being on one level made it easier for me to move around. To sum it all up my family and I had a great time and would do it again next year. Y"

Southern Pines Travel Tips

Southern Pines Vacation Rentals Make Lodging Unforgettable

Picturesquely nestled in Moore County on the fringes of Piedmont and in the heart of the Sandhills, Southern Pines vacation rentals are renowned for their combination of small-town ambiance and big-city attractions. Unofficially saluted as the Mecca of North Carolina golf-vacation living, the Pinehurst Aberdeen area boasts some 43 courses within an awe-inspiring 15 mile radius lined by the finest Southern Pines condos. Combination of full service resorts and first rate comfort suites add to the alluring North Carolina Heartland vacation homes living. The region is also the site of major golf events, providing town leaders with an opportunity to distinguish the area for having one of the most vibrant downtown areas and shopping districts around.

Southern Pines Condos Put The Pulse of North Carolina Heartland in Your Hands

The ultra-diverse populous of retirees, military personnel, working families, and singles speaks to a town filled with diverse attractions such as nightly musical performances, running theater productions, and regular art exhibits and lecture series. A moderate, North Carolina heartland climate, ranging from daytime highs in the 40s in winter to mid-80s come summer, make the varying attractions all the more appealing. It may come as no great surprise, then, that outdoor sports such as golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, and summer softball leagues reign as the most popular activities all across Southern Pines.

North Carolina Heartland Vacation Homes Place You Near All The Big Cities

Though uncompromisingly proud of its rich, rich heritage of having survived both World Wars and the Great Depression, Southern Pines offers the added advantage of placing you within easy driving distance of the larger cities of Charlotte, Fayetteville, and the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill triangle. A drive of just a few hours more offers the choice of veering west toward the Appalachian Mountains or east in the direction of the Atlantic seashore.
