  • Fabulous!

"We booked the cabin for a girls weekend and had the best time. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. We spent Saturday floating down the river (tubes and shuttle availble at the gas station right down the road for only $10) and went ziplining at Carolina Ziplines that night. Sooo much fun! I highly recommend this vacation rental."

  • Lake Hickory

"We enjoyed our stay at the house and the owner was very accommodating. We spent most of our time on the boat dock relaxing in the sun and water."

  • A true Hidden Paradise

"The cabin was very welcoming and beautiful. It felt like a home away from home. We could not have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing week. We enjoyed swimming and hiking everyday. We rented a canoe from the park and explored the shoreline of Lake Mayo and spent evenings enjoying the deck. We returned home feeling very rested and relaxed. Thank you so much for sharing this beautifful place with our family. Best vacation in a very long time."

  • Awesome Family Fun!

"My husband and I took our three teenagers and four of their friends up to the lake for a few days in July. We live in southern Wake County, and it took us under 2hrs to go from our driveway to the lake house! The house is wonderful! We had our own master suite (bedroom, hall, bathroom, laundry room), far enough not to be disturbed by the kids. The other 3 bedrooms were on the other side of the kitchen and had their own bathroom. The windows on the lake side of the house are amazing...the view is spectacular. My favorite spots were the deck (imagine the full lake side of the house being a huge/wide/long covered deck with built in seating at one side, ceiling fans the whole length of the deck!), the hammock and the hammock swing. The owner wasn't kidding when she said "fully stocked" kitchen...there was everything! We made eggs/pancakes/bacon, used the oven, we grilled, we used the moveable island (which has a great butcher block top that folds open to twice the size, made a perfect buffet serving area for all of us!). There's a full size fridge and a microwave, coffee maker, the works! The kids loved the outdoor tables for playing board games, eating, etc. The moveable floating dock was a huge hit...the boys took it WAY out into the middle of the lake and the girls took it pretty far out. The shallow entry into the water, down the steps was helpful to us all, and the low-traffic water/area was great for mom's peace of mind. The bathrooms were plenty big enough for "big kids" (three of the boys are over 6' tall!), the laundry room is convenient and the dryer dries the clothes in no time at all. There's a great tv in the family room, a great area to set up a laptop in the living room, and the dining room had a huge table. We couldn't have been happier with the home, the views, the whole experience. We are already deciding some dates for next summer, and definitely a longer stay!"

Southern Pines Travel Tips

Southern Pines Vacation Rentals Make Lodging Unforgettable

Picturesquely nestled in Moore County on the fringes of Piedmont and in the heart of the Sandhills, Southern Pines vacation rentals are renowned for their combination of small-town ambiance and big-city attractions. Unofficially saluted as the Mecca of North Carolina golf-vacation living, the Pinehurst Aberdeen area boasts some 43 courses within an awe-inspiring 15 mile radius lined by the finest Southern Pines condos. Combination of full service resorts and first rate comfort suites add to the alluring North Carolina Heartland vacation homes living. The region is also the site of major golf events, providing town leaders with an opportunity to distinguish the area for having one of the most vibrant downtown areas and shopping districts around.

Southern Pines Condos Put The Pulse of North Carolina Heartland in Your Hands

The ultra-diverse populous of retirees, military personnel, working families, and singles speaks to a town filled with diverse attractions such as nightly musical performances, running theater productions, and regular art exhibits and lecture series. A moderate, North Carolina heartland climate, ranging from daytime highs in the 40s in winter to mid-80s come summer, make the varying attractions all the more appealing. It may come as no great surprise, then, that outdoor sports such as golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, and summer softball leagues reign as the most popular activities all across Southern Pines.

North Carolina Heartland Vacation Homes Place You Near All The Big Cities

Though uncompromisingly proud of its rich, rich heritage of having survived both World Wars and the Great Depression, Southern Pines offers the added advantage of placing you within easy driving distance of the larger cities of Charlotte, Fayetteville, and the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill triangle. A drive of just a few hours more offers the choice of veering west toward the Appalachian Mountains or east in the direction of the Atlantic seashore.
