  • Great retreat in Asheville

"We were three adults and three children staying for a few nights. The home was neat and clean and included everything we needed down to the coffee filters. It was about 1.5 miles to downtown and was a hilly but feasible walk. The only comment I'll make us the back deck is about 20' off of the ground. If you don't like heights or nervous about your kids being outside you should know this. We were happy and will stay again when we are in town."

"We (eight ladies of a certain age) spent last weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at the incredibly beautiful "Our House," and it was all perfect! Frank provided everything down to the last detail -- the fresh-baked bread was an exquisite touch, along with the fresh-laid eggs. The house was roomy and spotlessly clean, and the views from the porch were gorgeous. We were in Asheville for the "Downton Abbey" exhibit at the Biltmore, and even with everything touristy Asheville offers, we found ourselves spending most of our time at "Our House" -- one night opting for take-out pizza instead of dinner at the Grand Bohemian. Staying at "Our House" truly added MUCH to our trip, and we plan to return again. Thank you, Frank and Danny!"

  • Our Third Visit, Not Our Last

"As always, this house is like a warm hug! With the woodwork, the comfortable furniture, the well appointed kitchen... with this being our third stay, it's feeling like a home away from home! This trip was a bit shorter and more laid back. We spent a day touring Warren Wilson College (my son will be an Owl after a gap year hiking the Appalachian Trail), an evening blowing glass at Asheville Glass Center, a quiet afternoon in Black Mountain shopping and hanging out at the coffee shop in town, and a WONDERFUL dinner at Table in Asheville. The right amount of activity but enough quiet time and Internet usage :) And this time, we made it up the mountain in the back, surprised to find a chair nestled in the woods close to the top! Al was very attentive and the reservation process and all was quite smooth. With my son's college plans, we'll definitely be back!"

  • Clean, Comfortable, Economical

"Nice clean two bedroom in a nice older neighborhood south of Asheville (15-20min to downtown). Uber is about $25 for a lift downtown. Getting in the townhouse was super easy. They just give you a code for a lockbox on the front door. To me hands off owners/managers are the best. I hate having the owner always stopping by. Not this place though....super easy and perfect. We didn't use the kitchen, but it seemed well stocked. The master bedroom was a nice comfortable queen. Everything was very clean. Anyway, A+ to the owner and or management. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Good job!"
