"Our family of five enjoyed this spacious relaxing home for 3days. It had plenty of room and was spotless. We loved how close to downtown Asheville this house was. The view was serene at all times of the day but especially sunrise and sunset. We hiked the Craggy Gardens trail off the Blue Ridge Parkway and also went to the NC Arboretum. We enjoyed the enormous fireplace at the end of the day. We enjoyed meals at Tupelo Honey, Wicked Weed and Walk -- all were excellent. We also cooked in at the well equipped kitchen. All in all a successful family trip."

"This was our first time using VRBO. We usually stay in a hotel or B&B on our vacations. But, after our stay at Moore's pond I am now a huge fan of VRBO. What a different experience! The guest house at Moore's Pond was more like being at home. My husband loved it because of the privacy vs a B&B and the unique setting of staying on a working farm with goats and chickens.
The Kitchen had everything we needed- we loved the toaster- much better than ours at home- it actually toasts evenly. It was nice having the convenience of the Keurig since my husband does not drink coffee and I only wanted 1 cup-- But they also do have a large coffee pot for bigger coffee drinkers. The fresh eggs waiting for us were delicious!. We arrived on a Sunday evening and were sad to learn the Amish store would not open Until Tuesday. Once it was open though- we were there almost every day. So fun to just walk down in less than 5 minutes and buy bread and milk and bacon and butter etc. oh- and the sticky buns are very good!
We hiked the trails on the property and walked the pastures to meet the goats. Met Sarah and Chuck and visited with them - they are so nice and there dog Bela is friendly and loving. We could see the chickens every morning from our back window.
The first night we arrived it was a little tricky finding our way- the roads are curvier than we are used to :) but by the 2nd night we were much more at ease and knew where the sharp turns/ curves would be. One really nice feature is the lights they have strung along there lane to the house. It made it very easy to spot from a distance in the dark.
My favorite thing was looking out the patio door window every morning and seeing the gorgeous mountains- sometimes dappled in sunlight and other times blanketed with fog.
We hope to return in the future and thank Sarah and Chuck for sharing there property with us. So much better than the last time we visited Asheville and stayed in a hotel."

"As always, this house is like a warm hug! With the woodwork, the comfortable furniture, the well appointed kitchen... with this being our third stay, it's feeling like a home away from home!
This trip was a bit shorter and more laid back. We spent a day touring Warren Wilson College (my son will be an Owl after a gap year hiking the Appalachian Trail), an evening blowing glass at Asheville Glass Center, a quiet afternoon in Black Mountain shopping and hanging out at the coffee shop in town, and a WONDERFUL dinner at Table in Asheville. The right amount of activity but enough quiet time and Internet usage :)
And this time, we made it up the mountain in the back, surprised to find a chair nestled in the woods close to the top!
Al was very attentive and the reservation process and all was quite smooth.
With my son's college plans, we'll definitely be back!"

"Michael has a beautiful home. Great location....tucked away yet close to everything. 15 minute drive to downtown. Views from the wrap around porch are great. Home is spatious and lay out is great for large groups of people. Everyone has their own space with the ability to gather together when they want. Kitchen well equipped. Can't beat soaking in the hot tub at night! Security system made us all feel safe. Pricing also very reasonable. Appreciate Michaels responsiveness whill maintaining privacy. Would definitely recommend."
