  • New Year's Retreat

"Five city guys decided to take a much-needed retreat to the mountains of NC over New Year's - Chalet Quietude provided everything we could have wanted and more. Beautiful views, well-appointed facility, and a gracious host. Not too big, not too small - comfortable and cozy. Add in a hot tub and wood burning fireplace and you have what you need to rejuvenate high in the fresh mountain forest air. All while enjoying what Asheville has to offer within a quick 20-minute drive."

  • My Perfect Wedding Retreat

"This house was incredible for my wedding weekend in Asheville! Firstly, the views! Not only does this house have amazing views, it has several porches and large windows to take the views in. You feel as though you're surrounded by mountains, but in reality, you're five minutes from downtown Asheville. I stayed at the house with my bridesmaids for my wedding and we could easily drive downtown in five minutes or take a $10 Uber. As for the house itself, it is a great space for larger groups or even families. The entire top floor is a suite with a beautifully remodeled bathroom and again, views! In addition to that, there is a spacious living/dining area and kitchen on the middle floor and a large bathroom set up with a ping pong table. All of the bedrooms were decently sized and beds were comfortable. For a mountain home, this house also offered ample parking and a garage. The driveway is steep, but once you're to the top, there is easily room for 6-7 cars to park. Lastly, this is a great spot for dogs. There is a small fenced in area for you to let them out and a great walk suggested by the owners to take them on. The only potential caution on this house turned out to be a pro - The bears! There is a family of bears in the neighborhood that we were able to watch walk up the home's driveway. These are black bears that will leave you alone as long as you do not disturb them. And they were so fun to watch!"

  • Excellent Cottage Close to Everything

"We had a wonderful stay there! Kept us warm and cozy with all at-home conveniences. A real pleasure to come to in the evenings after spending our days sight-seeing from Asheville to Cherokee to Gatlinburg. I loved that the cottage was out of the hustle and bustle, quietly situated with easy access to the interstate and stores for everyday needs. It literally was less than 10min to downtown Asheville!"

  • Wonderful

"Cabin Laurel was wonderful. Four of us stayed for Halloween weekend. It was secluded enough, but with plenty of essentials nearby. We didn't experience any noise like the last poster mentioned. It was quite and calm, with only a few cars passing by each day. A quick 10 minutes to downtown Asheville, and cabs were more than willing to come fetch us here. The house itself is rustic and cozy, with plenty of modern amenities including washer and dryer, dishwasher, and electric fire place. Loved it, and will definitely be staying again!"
