  • Home Away

"A wonderful stay in a beautiful place! The owners had obviously taken some trouble to make sure that the experience was 'just like home', which was much appreciated: little touches that made the place very special for our time. Great wood fireplace set up for 'one match' lighting before arrival and lots of amenities enhancing the experience. Beautiful cabin, well handled throughout. Thank you for an excellent experience!"

  • Outstanding place to recharge your batteries!

"My wife and I were looking for a quiet, secluded place to recharge from work, etc. This house was exactly what we wanted. It was secluded enough for quiet times on the porches (3), yet close enough to town to enjoy dining and sight-seeing. The accommodations in the house were perfect. Lots of light and modern conveniences. Would definitely recommend, but don't squeeze us out when we want to come again... Cheers!"

  • Would stay again!

"We were two couples coming for a relaxing new year's trip and this cabin was great for our purposes. The owners clearly take pride in the cabin and add wonderful touches that you would never expect but will appreciate in a rental. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic with plenty of room. It's almost a spiritual experience to sit in the hot tub, lights dim (almost all the lights in the cabin are on dimmers!), and just listen to the river. Do not expect to use the WiFi for much, if anything, and cell reception is minimal at best. I viewed both of these factors as added bonuses but don't plan on working remotely (lesson learned). Had we wished to spend the trip cooking and socializing at the cabin, this would not have been the right cabin for four adults. The living room and kitchen, while comfortable and nicely appointed, are not spacious and dining is at the high top table on stools with room for no more than four adults. This is a beautiful cabin in a gorgeous setting managed by owners who clearly care and have gone above and beyond. While there we found ourselves discussing a trip back in the summer to enjoy the river and truly appreciate all that this beautiful property has to offer. We would not hesitate to recommend the cabin to family and friends and hope to return!"

  • Do Yourself a Favor: Book Soon and Often and Relax

"Never has a vacation been so wonderful. This house has THE most INCREDIBLE view. Watching the sun make its way through the morning haze. Looking across the nightlights of the city to the mountains in the west. The absolute stillness of the mountains with the nightlife of the city streets just minutes away. The sights and sounds of Asheville were quite a lure, as was the Grove Park Inn spa just around the bend down the mountain. Eagle’s Perch is a short drive to the grocery store or a five minute drive to some the “best eats” in Western Carolina. No need to surf the Internet for restaurant listings and menus; all the information needed is already there at the house. Of course, the owners provided us with a guest booklet that described EVERYTHING. Sights and sounds of interest in Asheville. Even a walking route through the neighborhood (quiet and free of traffic). What a special treat. The houses were almost as amazing as the views they had of the mountains and the city below. The house is neatly appointed with classy and classic art as well as all the essentials found at home. We arrived for the Christmas week and enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every single day. It was fabulous. Bedrooms are all very nice; beds warm and comfy on a winter’s day. Oh, yes, the master suite on the upper floor was just luxurious. (Almost hated to go downstairs!) The game room was fully stocked with games, books and puzzles, but there is so much around to see and do, the poor room didn’t see much of us, other than the ping pong tournament!! If you want to treat yourself (and the family), enjoy ANY season or EVERY season - spring, summer, winter, fall – at Eagle’s Perch in beautiful Asheville, NC. My only caution: you may not ever want to leave!!"
