  • Our Third Visit, Not Our Last

"As always, this house is like a warm hug! With the woodwork, the comfortable furniture, the well appointed kitchen... with this being our third stay, it's feeling like a home away from home! This trip was a bit shorter and more laid back. We spent a day touring Warren Wilson College (my son will be an Owl after a gap year hiking the Appalachian Trail), an evening blowing glass at Asheville Glass Center, a quiet afternoon in Black Mountain shopping and hanging out at the coffee shop in town, and a WONDERFUL dinner at Table in Asheville. The right amount of activity but enough quiet time and Internet usage :) And this time, we made it up the mountain in the back, surprised to find a chair nestled in the woods close to the top! Al was very attentive and the reservation process and all was quite smooth. With my son's college plans, we'll definitely be back!"

  • Great quiet, isolated cabin in the woods

"We pulled up to this cabin at the height of the spring blooming season. It is in a great location, and the scenery was beautiful. Lovely flowering trees, a babbling creek nearby, hot tub and pool tho a bit early to use the pool. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was plenty of room for 8 of us, and good outdoor seating as well. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others. A few minor inconveniences kept this from getting a 5 star rating - the main light over the dining table did not work, and that's where we often sat to eat and play games. The kitchen lacks a good Teflon pan to cook in, as well as a 9x13 casserole pan. NOTHING SERIOUS. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Within minutes we were on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and it was about a 20 minute ride to the heart of Asheville. Would stay there again in a heartbeat."

  • Perfect getaway

"We stayed here for a few days after Christmas and truly felt like we were home away from home! The cottage was perfect for our needs and located so close to our activities. We spent time at the Biltmore, Biltmore Village and downtown. It was nice to pull in the driveway and relax when we returned each evening. Fireplace really made the living room cozy and the beds were extremely comfortable. Everything you need for a great stay can be found in the cottage and it's so reasonably priced. This place is an absolute gem!"

  • Absolutely Incredible

"The cabin is practically on top of the mountain, so the view from the back deck is stunning. We woke up every morning and had coffee in the upstairs den, while enjoying the beautiful view. It is located near the gorgeous little mountain town of Black Mountain and is only a 35 minute drive from downtown Asheville. The cabin itself is a beautiful home, and kept very neat and clean, with all of the creature comforts you would expect. We are already planning a return trip for next year."
