  • Quiet and Private

"Nestled in the forested area of Asheville, this attractive vacation rental gives the impression of isolation while being only 2 miles from the main drag, and has easy access to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Although it's high on the mountain side and embedded in trees, it gives a wonderful view of the nearby mountains. This rental is nicely furnished and generously supplied. The owner's overview and reviews by previous renters (especially the review by Sonia C.) tell it all. We loved staying here and will certainly come back again."

  • A nice, comfortable home close to everything in Asheville

"Over the past 3 summers I have spent 7 months at this house. It is a comfortable, well maintained home. It is not a fancy showplace, but a place you feel you can relax in and enjoy. The galley kitchen is easy to use and well equipped. The living room is big and the furniture comfortable. I have always felt at home in this place, not like a visitor just passing through. The home is close to so many things. It's a 5-10 minute drive to the entrance of the Biltmore Estates, Ingles, Biltmore Fitness, pharmacies, the east side Mall, theaters, downtown, a variety of restaurants and more. It's close to the entrances of East and West I-240 so it's easy to take day or weekend trips to the surrounding beautiful areas like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Hendersonville, the Carl Sandburg home, Hot Springs and Chimney Rock. The home is located in a quiet wooded area and sitting out on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and listening to the birds is just wonderful. Even in the summer the home doesn't get really hot as it gets plenty of shade. This past summer I didn't have to use the window A/C units at all, I just kept the windows opened and enjoyed the fresh air. The owners are wonderful to work with. If something needs to be fixed, they take care of it. They are always working to improve the home and each time I arrive I find different little touches that show how much the owners work to make it a comfortable home for guests. If you are looking for a glitzy showplace, this isn't the home for you. But if you are looking for a comfortable, well equipped home close to everything in Asheville - this is a great option to consider. I really enjoy the time I spend here."

  • The Poderosa Christmas

"We really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was very remote which is just what we needed. Did not want to venture out much do to the rough road. We spent a lot of time playing pool and just being together as a family which is hard to do with the hustle and bustle of daily life. There were a couple of items I thought would have been at the cabin based upon experiences we have had at other places. Toilet paper and soap only in the downstairs bathroom. Looked for firewood outside the cabin and could not find any. Maybe that is just because of the remote area. My suggestion would be to let everyone know the BYO items. Our dog loved the fenced in area very much once we found it. She had us going all through the woods just to find a spot to do her business. Lol When we arrived it was dark outside and could not see it. Overall we all enjoyed your place and it made for a great Christmas away from home. Thank you From the Miller Family"

  • Perfect for a wedding

"I don't even know where to start about Pine Hollow. It was the PERFECT venue for our wedding. 14 adults and 6 children stayed all weekend and it was very comfortable. We had our wedding and cocktail hour in the back yard and dancing with a DJ on the deck. Dinner was a buffet style served around the kitchen island and everyone just ate their food casually around the house. We had a 40 guest wedding but there was PLENTY of room to spare. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and I attribute that to it being held here. Pine Hollow made our wedding truly magical. The house has SO much to offer for kids, teenagers and adults. There is an amazing game room, trampoline and swing set and pond in the back. It's the perfect place for kids. The details of this house are meticulous, they have thought of everything when furnishing and stocking this home. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue a wedding. We will DEFINITELY be back."
