  • Lovely Home

"My family and I spent Christmas week 2013 in this lovely home. It was a very nice home with many upgrades and very reasonably priced. The road up to the house was also a pleasant drive each day. Greg was very prompt to answer all of our emails and prompt to take care of a small problem the week we were there. You won't be disappointed in this rental!"

  • Summer 2014 Vacation in North Carolina

"My family really liked the cottage. Beautiful view of the lake. Very peaceful except when the next door neighbours visited on the weekend. They have a dog and he barks a lot. Nice patio with a gas grill. There is a fire place but we did not use. Kitchen had a dishwasher which is nice when on vacation. There is a washer and dryer which is great when traveling with kids. The beds were very comfortable. The only reason I cannot give the cottage 5 stars is that the stairs that lead to the lake only go half way and then you have to walk on a dirt path. It rains almost every night in the mountains so that path gets slippery and can be dangerous to walk on. I suggest the owners put mulch on the path. They have a nice dock on the lake. They provide chairs. There is a small canoe that the owners kindly let the renters use but the seats are broken so we folded towels and sat on those and that worked out juts fine. There was also a large inner tube, noodles and life jackets available. The surrounding area is very beautiful. The town of Andrews has a Antique store and a nice hamburger stand. You can also do your grocery shopping. Within an hours drive you can see waterfalls, get to the Smokey Mountains and go hiking and there is the Smokey Mountain Railroad which my children enjoyed, ages 10 and 17."

  • Joyful Experience

"This house was more beautiful than advertised and the pictures; though nice, did not do this house justice. There was more room than I had expected and the furnishings devine. Looks like the owners had thought of everything (cards, board games, flashlights, spices) and we had all the comforts of home. Spent every sunrise and sunset on the observation deck and just about every night at the fire pit roasting marshmellows over a bonfire. Think it would be lot's of fun to have a crowd to fill the house up with. The noises at night left me a little jittery but with a crowd of friends and family....all you would be able to hear would be joy and laughter...peace and relaxation. Great place. I recommend it highly."

  • Bachelorette Bliss

"Thank you so much for opening your beautiful cottage to us. It was the perfect place for a Bachelorette weekend - small enough to provide a cozy and intimate atmosphere, but big enough for a dance party in the living room!"
