"We had an extended family of eight which included 3 teens and an 8 yr. old. The purpose of our Murphy trip was a mini-family reunion with our local family there. What a beautiful river-front location and cabin ! There was nothing missing in this spotless home-very modern and spacious ! The mood of the river changes thru-out the day and evening. Canadian geese swim in large lazy groups and seem to pose for your camera! The children spent many hours floating, tubing and "panning for gold" in the bubbling creek and river as we adults leisurely enjoyed the views from the huge porch. A full "blue" moon added to the magical evenings ! Short trips to historic downtown Murphy, Mason's Ruby Mine in Franklin, Mercer's Apple Orchard and beautiful Helen, GA made this week memorable for all ! A definite 5 Star rating !!"

"We had a family vacation that included two daughters, their husbands and four grand kids ages 5, 3 1/2, 8 and 3 months. The house was set up perfectly for all the families with separate bathrooms for each; toys and games for the kids to play with; a spacious kitchen; great furnishings throughout the house; and spacious decks to enjoy in the morning and evening. There was also a fire ring out behind the house where we made s'mores to the delight of the kids. Add to this the amenities of Sapphire Valley and it's an unbeatable combination. No doubt the nicest house we've rented from VRBO. We'll be back."

"Cabin was literally in the middle of no where. It was nice to be away from everything, but it took 15 minutes to get to the closest restaurant or store, which were all closed by 9pm. Beth was nice & helpful. Well kept place. No AC, but Beth provided an AC unit which was a life saver. Cabin is up a half mile, 65 degree slope, gravel road. Would recommend a truck to drive up this road. Cell phone service was spotty, but we were able to connect to the wifi & get online in the cabin. It was a nice place. We & the dogs enjoyed our time. We didn't want to come home."

"We are locals to the area and I wanted a space that could hold a 65th Birthday Party for my partner.
This space was perfect. The kitchen is amazing. The wrap around decks are beautiful and there is a dappling creek that gives a nature feel to things.
The great room is spacious and we had a great flow for the party. Parking was easy plus a double garage made it even easier to have guests park.
The rooms and loft space are huge, extra bedding everywhere and the towels are the softest towels I ever encountered.
Maggie was great with communication and even let us visit the place the week before to plan out decorations. She is amazing.
This was the perfect space for our needs, but I can see how a week long stay from out of towners would be great for any family.
This is located just far enough out of the city that you feel the nature, also minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 10 minutes to downtown and other tourists attractions.
Thank you Maggie for the use of your amazing lodge!
