  • Lovely mountain home

"We had a great time. Every day we got to Dupont for hiking or biking, and every day we relaxed in the yard, at the fire pit or on the porch."

  • Perfect Mountaintop Cabin

"Just returned home a few days ago from our second stay in this perfect mountaintop cabin and I'm still dreaming of the view from the covered deck. The location could not be better -- 10 minutes to Pisgah and Brevard, 15 minutes to DuPont -- but you'll find it hard to want to leave the cabin's idyllic mountaintop spot. The owners have created a well-stocked home away from home setting; all you need to bring are food and clothes. Their warm welcome for dogs and bikes are icing on the cake! We have found our happy place in Pisgah and are already planning our next visit this summer. Can't wait to return!"

  • Great Family Getaway

"We spent spring break at BAC. We had 5 young kids in our group, including two toddlers. The wonderful wrap-around porch served as a great play pen! The babies were able to easily walk around while the adults sat and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery. The older kids enjoyed exploring the mountain behind the house, the creek down below and having fires in the fire pit. We also enjoyed the inside fireplace as some nights were chilly! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, though a little small. We couldn't get the grill to work, which was disappointing. Favorite destinations: Wonderful playground in Cashiers, called Village Play. Rainbow Falls in Gorges State Park (if you're up for a hike), Dry Falls outside of Highlands if you're not up for a anything real physical. Victoria's Closet in Cashiers (if you're up for some girls' shopping). It's a gorgeous area, and the price at BAC can't be beat! Mary was wonderful to work with."

  • Wonderful Christmas in the Mountains

"Our family, which extended to include 8 adults, loved our Christmas time in the mountains at your beautiful home! Your pictures were exactly what we found and then some! You didn't include the "hillbilly" porch with the beautiful, lighted, natural chandelier and dragon flies in your photos. When we entered we said, "Wow." It was spotlessly clean and warm and beautifully decorated. We loved the blue Christmas lights and small lighted tree outside. We experienced sunny and rainy weather up there. The first full day we walked (some drove) to your Rock Creek Falls with our dogs loving it the whole way. We found two trails, one to the top of the falls and the steeper trail to the bottom. What an adventure! During our stay we cozied up to your beautiful fireplace, listened to music with your great sound system, played games and did jigsaw puzzles, exchanged gifts around our decorated tree and nearly ate out on the porch it was so moderate. Everything we needed to pull off our Christmas morning and afternoon feasts was there in your well supplied kitchen! Our kids toured the Christmas Candlelight tour at Biltmore and we even did our traditional bookstore run on Christmas Eve day to the charming town of Brevard. Watching the fog and clouds on the mountains from your home was so calming and pleasurable. Christmas day was bright and sunny, so after "dinner" we explored another waterfall off of the "Senior Citizen Trail". We laughed at the high regard you have for your senior citizens! It was a trek, but worth it to be off the beaten path and find a gorgeous waterfall hidden in the woods! Needless to say, your home away from home was everything we were looking for in our celebration of Christmas in the mountains! Besides being beautiful with a great view, it was very comfortable with all 8 of us visiting there. We want to come back during another season and take in more of the mountains in your beautiful home. Thank you for providing the perfect spot for us to celebrate Christmas with our whole family!"
