  • Cozy Charm - A Rustic Respite!

"Words are hard to procure to describe the warmth which oozes from this "nest" in the woods. The Partridge Nest exceeded our expectations in every regard! From the warm welcome on a personalized sign as we entered the walkway, to the sound of the vintage screen door as it closed behind us, to Starbucks coffee and other basic provisions left for our convenience, to books & magazines for our perusal at whim, to a most comfortable bed enveloping our weary bodies late evenings, to a porch with a snuggly swing complete with reader's swinglamp, furry blankets and soft pillows....get the picture? We indulged in 4 days & nights in this special hideaway. Next visit, we'll plan for less activity...to not have set foot outside the cabin (except for a stroll) would've been conducive to a complete escape beyond life's daily demands. The owners, Charlie & Jean were superb with communication and meeting our every need. They are fun-loving people who obviously enjoy sharing their little slice of rustic & woodsy heaven on earth! Talented and gifted for bringing their decor style to life while covering every last detail and then some....we cannot possibly say enough to endorse their hillside haven in the Partridge Nest cabin/cottage...you must experience it for yourself!"

  • Nice cottage centrally located

"We enjoyed our stay here. Safe neighborhood, centrally located in downtown Brevard. Convenient to many wonderful hiking, biking trails, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. We enjoyed walking downtown to the quaint shops, eateries and art galleries. The only disappointment we had were the acorns falling from the trees and pinging off the tin roof in the front of the house. It was VERY loud and made it impossible to sleep in the front bedroom this time of the year. This was unexpected and very unfortunate. Otherwise everything else was great and Susan was very nice and responsive."

  • Fabulous!

"In one word, FABULOUS! This house is exactly as pictured! Beautiful views, plenty of space to spread out, and a kid's dream house. The only trouble we had was being able to pull the kids away from the house to do the nearby, kid friendly waterfall hikes, and apple orchard visits! Would recommend only 4-wheel drive vehicles if visiting in the winter months, which I'm sure is a picturesque time to be here. Our family loved the ping pong, air hockey, toys, fire pit, swings, tree house, tire swing, and all of the parent-minded security measures that exist in this house! If you like waterfalls, don't miss the Moore Cove falls. It is about a mile hike in to a 50' free fall falls, and you can walk behind the falls, which was awesome for the kids! There are great places along the walk to stop and dip toes in calm water, and for the more daring you can climb to the top of the rock ledge for a unique view of the falls. Mayberry's on Main St. was a favorite food stop for us. Ingles grocery store is at the bottom of the hill, very convenient. This house is just the best of so many worlds! Location, ammenities, kid friendly, clean, comfortable, and fantastic views. Robin, thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! We will be return visitors for years to come!"

  • Great place for a business Retreat.

"We had a group of business owners up from Atlanta area to work on business issues and rented two houses side by side. This was the perfect place for what we wanted and private. Outstanding views, very comfortable houses, with plenty of room for meetings and group discussions. The clubhouse and pool were a great advantage. While we would have been sweating in 98-degree heat in Atlanta, we had cool days and nights here in the mountains. Nearby parks with hiking trails and waterfalls along with a great par 3 eighteen hole golf course were just what we needed for our free time gatherings and only minutes from the house. We stayed in house named Bellevue and all the people there loved it. The large screened- in porch made nighttime gatherings wonderful, along with the great room and very nicely equipped kitchen. We Look forward to coming back in the future."
