"We really enjoyed your vacation home in the mountains. Easy to get to. Roomy and the pictures you posted were accurate. We enjoyed the screened in front porch. King size bed was wonderful. Those are so hard to find in vacation homes."

"Our group stay at Deer Run was everything we hoped for, and more! Sandra's house was perfect for our annual ladies' getaway. Perched atop the mountain, surrounded by beautiful forest, the home is well appointed and very comfortable. Kitchen has virtually anything you would want or need. Bathrooms clean and well stocked. Beds very comfy with quality linens. Sandra is responsive and helpful. This location made it easy to see the surrounding area with day trips. Close to several wonderful towns, all with great shops and eateries! Take the Eating Asheville food tour!!"

"We brought our sons and their families from Phoenix and New Jersey to celebrate an "early" 50th wedding anniversary. It was money well spent. I searched the area for a house big enough to accommodate our family and was thrilled when I found the River House. Enough beds and rooms for everyone that evoked comments like, "The bed was wonderful. We got a great night's sleep." It just got better from there. We had a room to play games, a room to watch DVDs and an enormous front yard with a very popular hammock. A water balloon fight between the trees was one of our highlights. The large back patio allowed outside meals from the grill. The kitchen was well-furnished, and being met with fresh flowers and a basket of vegetables and fruit was a nice touch. The location was ideal with the most popular tourist and hiking spots nearby. Sliding Rock and Hooker Falls were the favorites, but the hike to Black Balsam in the Blue Ridge was a triumph to stand on the top at 6,400 ft. The Owner's Suite allowed for more privacy when wanted. All of the kids, aged 11-18, thought the River House was wonderful. We will always remember this vacation. We highly recommend the River House."
