"My family of 6 adults stayed 3 nights in this gorgeous cabin! The owner called to make sure we got there and if everything was ok. This cabin was so close to town. It was very clean and had everything you needed. It was very quiet and peaceful there with a beautiful view of the mountains! Very beautiful decorated and we loved the layout - we had plenty of room! The only thing I would change, would to be able to have stayed longer! The time flew by! We rode the train, rode to Murphy one day, and visited Deep Creek Campground, where we hiked and seen the waterfalls! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! We will definitely be back there again! • Paradise found

"My wife and I stayed here for week, looking for solitude and relaxation. We found it in abundance at this amazing property. We have stayed in many VRBO properties before, but this one is the best. We really felt like we were in a home rather than a rental. We love to cook and the kitchen is very well appointed with everything you would need. There are lots of activities to do nearby but we were content just hanging out on the deck and enjoying the views and peace. Stuart and Melody along with the Management company they use, are an absolute pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We cannot wait to have an to opportunity to return at some point in the future."

  • Great stay

"My husband and I recently stayed at Poplar Lodge this past weekend for our 14 year anniversary. We had an amazing time. Ginger was very helpful from making the reservation to getting to the cabin. We had a little trouble getting to the cabin, but Ginger stayed on the phone until we found it. Once we found it...the directions were right on cue....not sure how we had trouble! The craftsmanship and detail in the cabin was amazing. The hot tub was warm and waiting for our arrival. Bryson City is a charming town and we loved walking through the downtown area and visiting all the shops. The town was so friendly!! We will be back and hopefully sooner rather than later!"

  • Sam and Debby N. Columbia, SC

"We rented the Deer Ridge for a dream family Holiday vacation and were not disappointed! I'ts at the top of the mountain and the views from the wrap around porch are incredible. The kitchen is very well equipped! Plus, there is a grill deck right off of the kitchen which worked well for Sam's delish Brisket and BBQ ribs the next day! So much room to move around and with 8 adults and 3 very small children we had plenty of room to spread out. Sandi and Clad were great to work with and so helpful with all of my pre vacation questions. But I needn't have worried - they have everything! The children and grandchildren loved riding the Polar Express and we all enjoyed a couple of landmark restaurants: The Cork and Bean and Jimmie Macs. The week passed all too quickly but who knows; we may be back. If I had any negatives, they would be few. There is no TV on the main floor where everyone hangs out (my sons brought theirs - had to watch Christmas movies, you know) out and for bathing babies, there is only one tub except for the huge one in the master. (Hard to reach babies over the high tub.) Also, a must visit is to Dillsboro. What a cute little town and only 20 minutes away. Only 2 or 3 blocks in its entirety, but a stopping point for the Smokey Mountains Railroad, 3 very nice restaurants, great little shops and even a wine store, complete with wine tasting. Bryson City, we'll be back!"
