  • Amazing Retreat

"We loved the ever-changing view from the back deck. We were there for 3 nights and had at least six different moods of view to enjoy. The house is well equipped. The main floor bed us very soft and the pillows are too thick and firm. The bathroom rugs need to be cleaned. The drive up the steep, winding gravel road was worth the temporary anxiety and gets easier with repetition. Except for these fairly minor inconveniences, we really enjoyed our stay and would come again."

  • A Sizable Slice of Heaven

"I stayed at this cabin with two of my lifelong friends; we used to go to the Smokies every summer when we were twenty-somethings, but then life got in the way, as it inevitably does. Now, we're fifty-somethings and had the opportunity to do it again, so we grabbed it, but decided against tent camping this time! They got to the cabin before I did, and the only thing my friends kept repeating to me over and over on the phone was, "You've got to get here NOW! You really outdid yourself picking this place. It's gorgeous, and the view is wonderful!" That was my opinion as well when I arrived. We spent a large portion of our time on the covered back porch admiring every detail of the amazing view. We ate ALL of our meals out there, accompanied by a sizable spider which had spun a web between the railing and a support post. We enjoyed observing him all week long, and even fed him a few times with a handy live insect. No reason to get rid of him, he's just trying to make a living same as us, right? There's nothing really bad to say about the place. Everything was clean and well-maintained, the beds were very comfy, and the location is well-situated to be close to all of the attractions the Bryson City area has to offer. We went rafting on the Nantahala, we went ziplining, we hiked, we dined, we did it all -- and had a great time doing it. The description of the cabin and its amenities is spot on. The pictures included in the listing are accurate and good, but the reality of being there is much, much better than photos could ever depict. We wanted to stay longer and actually called to see if we could, but another party was already booked in for the next day. That's okay. We will always have the memories of the fun we had. The only negative aspect I can think of is that the three bedrooms are located on three different floors, so only one of the three is accessible without using a full set of stairs. The set which go down to the lower level are steeper than the set that goes up to the loft bedroom. All in all, this cabin is heartily recommended. You most surely won't be disappointed."

  • Perfect Vacation Spot

"My family and I stayed at this cabin in July 2014. I've already started my search for a place to stay this coming summer and keep migrating back to this VRBO ad. We had such a wonderful time here and made some lifelong memories. We found the cabin to be in a convenient spot and close to downtown Bryson City. I highly recommend going to the Cork and Bean for dinner - Great food. The kids enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor area. The cabin had plenty of room for our group of 9. We were hesitant about renting a cabin with only window A/C units but we found it to be more than sufficient. The cabin sits in a wooded spot and we never felt uncomfortable. The cabin at Cooper's Creek is a great getaway and I highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable vacation."

  • A Terrific Mounain Cottage

"This cottage has a wonderful feel to it, one that promotes relaxation. Plenty of room, well equipped, lovely view of the mountains. Dean, the owner, and Patty, the caretaker, are lovely people and were quite helpful. We hope we can come back."
