"We had a wonderful family weekend at Solitude! I asked Terri questions about the house and area attractions and she was always quick to respond with helpful answers. The house is the perfect size. We have 2 young children and it was easy to keep up with a 2 year old full of energy. We enjoyed the screened in porch for sitting and eating and the firepit out back. The house is close enough to town so a quick run to the grocery store didn't take long and we went to Chimney Rock 2 days in a row since it was so close. My toddler enjoyed playing in the creek and walking to the "Edge of the World." There is information in a binder about the area attractions and a few sightseeing areas close to the house that we took advantage of. It was a treat for Daddy to be able to spend a weekend with his kids and make memories that will not be forgotten."

"I came to Waynesville for my father's memorial service. It was a sad family time. Kate, the owner of the home, was very accommodating and considerate. Her home was just lovely and it had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was very clean and had everything you could possible need. It does have steps, but they are manageable. I would recommend this home because it is in a good location for the seeing area, very clean, and affordable."

"We had a wonderful stay at this cabin and our vacation was everything we wanted it to be. We did the 5 R's: rest, relax, recooperate, rejuvenate, reconnect AND had fun. There are 2 guest books full of suggestions from other visitors and 2 resource books (restaurants and things to do/see) that the owners put together which were very helpful. If you look through them the first day/night you are there, you will have all the info you need on wherever you want to go and whatever you want to do. You will probably end up with a few more fun things on your list as well! The Smokey Mtn Visitor's center is just up the road as well if you need more info. The waterfalls are spectacular and there are many hikes as well. There is fresh produce and a creamery just down the road. You have it all here. A great view, rocking chairs on a screened in porch (no bugs), the hot tub, a game room, board games, charcoal grill for the BEST dinners, peace and quiet. Because it is on top of a hill (that's why the awesome view) be prepared to put it in low gear to climb the hill. Everything in the cabin worked and we didn't have any issues. Beds were comfy, dishwasher, washer/dryer and just about every thing you need in the kitchen is provided. Wi-fii was great so we could check in and post pictures at the end of the day. Vickie (the property manager) was very helpful. We had a beautiful sunrise and sunset and the Autumn colors are just beginning. The deck is unique and you can tell this cabin has been a labor of love over the years."

"My family and I just returned from a four day stay at this beautiful cabin. We honestly did not want to leave!! The cabin is spacious and decorated beautifully . It is also fully stocked with anything you could possibly need...even extra toiletries. The owners are so nice and friendly. In fact, their hospitality really made the visit perfect. The best part was that there was lots of space for our two teenage boys to romp and stomp. Also, this cabin is convenient to Sylva (great movie theater with unbelievably cheap prices), Dillsboro (quaint shops), and Cherokee (a little bit of everything). We are already planning our next stay with them. Thank you Debbie and David for making our visit so special. See you again soon."
