"850 feet above rural SR 280~Asheville Highway on secluded Mine Mountain, this Bear Ridge Cabin retreat is a perfect place for rest, relaxation, renewal, rejuvenation, and recreation. Beauty and comfort in a rustic yet elegant home was our stay courtesy of Lisa and Clay Sykes, a hosting couple extraordinaire! They captured our hearts and our love for North Carolina and its mountain magic. We hope to return to Bear Ridge Cabin again and again to keep the love going and flowing. It doesn’t get much better than this! Cheers and blessings, y’all!"

"We recently spent a few days in Highlands and could not have stayed in a more beautiful, comfortable home. The home was perfect inside and out. Several seating areas within the home so we could hang out with each other or go to a quiet spot and read for a while. The screened in porch was the perfect spot for a glass of wine in the afternoon. The bridge leading to the playhouse was amazing and the plush landscaping was visible from all the large windows in the main area. All the bedrooms were very extremely nice, but the master bedroom and bath were like a high end spa. I am already planning another girls trip and hope to stay here again. I would recommend that if you are going to Highlands, you could not find a more beautiful, private and comfortable home to stay in. The location was also good, between Highlands and Cashiers.
Thanks to Chris and Elizabeth for sharing your home with us."

"We are retired and wanted all the comforts of a home, and this is it. Located in a valley surrounded by trees, very private and great views. There is a covered wrap-around porch and an open deck overlooking Persimmon Creek. A large kitchen with plenty of cabinets, a separate dining area with patio doors leading to the porch, a wood-burning fireplace, two large bedrooms with an ensuite in the Master and glass door leading to the porch. The laundry is in the other bathroom and all appliances are quiet. A large water heater so plenty of hot water all the time. Wall to wall carpet except kitchen and bathrooms. We are coming back next year for sure. Would highly recommend to anyone."

"Dearest Gary and Debbie,
We truly LOVE your cabin. This is our 3rd time visiting and can't imagine staying anywhere else. It was hard getting us off those rocking chairs on the back porch listing to the creek. We cracked our window in the bedroom so we could hear it while we slept. When we arrived, all the stress of the week melted away, our shoulders relaxed and it was an ahhhh feeling.
Unfortunately for you, maybe, You and Debbie have become apart of our family.
We will see you again next year!!
