  • In the Clouds

"My husband, 2 adult children, their spouses, our 4 grandkids and 2 family dogs spent a 4 night weekend in heaven at the top of a mountain in Waynesville. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this House and would love to have lived there on a permanent basis. The house was very detailed, had very large master bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were all lovely, the kitchen was fully equipped and the living room furniture has great furniture with a beautiful fireplace. But the best part of all was being on the upper deck with 100 mile views of the mountains and being above the clouds that hovered over Maggie Valley. The house is as great as the pics. The stream was a little tricky to access, but we could hear it from the deck. The road up to the cabin was interesting to say the least, but was okay to navigate. I am glad we have a 4 wheel drive, but no one else did and they did fine on the road. All in all, we had a perfect weekend and really did not want to leave."

  • Cozy cabin

"My friend and I just returned from a two-night stay at this cabin. The only complaint we have is our stay was too short. The cabin is cozy, clean and inviting. Loved the deck with the rocking chairs and gorgeous view. The weather turned a little cooler than usual so we couldn't stay on the deck as long as we wanted. The cabin is located just a short drive from the main road in Maggie Valley. It's not hard to find. Joey's Pancake House was great as well as the Maggie Valley Restaurant. We found a new place (or it was new to us) called Moonshine Grill. The food was good there, too."

  • Great location, Lots of room

"Had a good relaxing time at Knotty Knoll. There is plenty of room to just take it easy and is close enough to enjoy all the amenities of the Smokey Mountains. We will be back."

  • Wonderful Holiday Weekend

"Round Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to spend a few days! The lodge is beautifully decorated and has everything you need...sheets, towels, all the dishes and pots and pans you could think of, a nice gas grill, even backpacks for going hiking. Our group of eight was very comfortable. I loved the views from the deck. We did lots of hiking. The hike to Round Mountain Falls a mile from the lodge is great. Just be prepared to climb down some ropes and a ladder. We also went to Sliding Rock Falls and Looking Glass Falls just north of Brevard, and Triple Falls, the site of filming for The Hunger Games. Brevard is a fun little town to walk around in. We had a nice casual meal at The Phoenix. They have good food and a very friendly staff. On our last day, we went zip lining at The Gorge, which was about an hour away in Saluda. It was awesome!! Our whole group highly recommends it. Our trip to round Mountain Lodge was one of my favorite vacations ever! We hope to return."

Canton Travel Tips

Time for Shopping and Resting with Canton Vacation Rentals

There's a lot of shopping to be done in Canton, Texas. The area is best known for its Canton vacation rentals, but they also boast a huge shopping event. The flea-market styled shopping is called First Monday Trade Days and is one of the biggest and most popular attractions of the area. Vacationers in the Canton cabins count this event as a big draw for them and enjoy all of the shopping at this event. Many vacationers lodge at one of the comfortable Canton vacation rentals and maximize their stay. In addition to their shopping excursions, they also get a little rest in one of the Canton cabins.

Exciting Activities Near Canton Vacation Rentals

Smoky Mountain cabin rentals have lakefront cottages that are inviting for the wearied shopper. Trade days can be a tiresome event, but worth it with all of the comforts and amenities at the Canton cabins. A Smoky Mountain cabin is quite different from standard vacationing in a hotel. Vacation rentals in Canon are secluded, quiet and offer a wonderful respite for vacationers. Hotel accommodations simply give you a place to sleep with no comforts or activities. With lakehouse rentals on Cedar Lake, fishing and relaxing are high on the to-do list for vacationers. Each of the cottages in Canton can lodge up to 12 guests, allowing ample room to move around and be comfortable. The large accommodations also give you a lot of space to store your goodies from the flea-market shopping extravaganza.

Smoky Mountain Vacation Rentals for Summer Getaways

Vacation rentals also make excellent summer homes because of their size and conveniences. Many vacationers choose to take months instead of a few weeks of vacation. Just imagine spending two or three months on the lake with unlimited fishing, hiking and biking in addition to the great shopping. Canton vacation rentals offer comfort and convenience but also the solitude and peace that makes for a nice, quiet vacation. Besides, you will need the quiet to examine all of the good finds you'll get at the trade days shopping event!
