  • Nice set up for multiple families

"First let me say all the great things about this place. The layout was great to separate kids and adults. It easily accommodated our two families and could have done another family with no problem. The upstairs for the kids was great with air hockey and foosball and DVD player and lots of beds and room to run around. The hot tub when it worked was great but we had our first two nights without it usable. The not so great parts were we started with two half rolls of toilet paper for 10 people, No paper towels, dish soap or body soap, and only one garbage bag. So immediately had to go out just to get very basics. The linens are old but there are plenty of them. It's definitely not the ritz but The layout was great and we would do it again. Had a great time skiing and a lot of fun."

  • Beautiful place!

"We rented the Saluda Mountain Home for 5 days this past week. This home is beautiful, comfortable, clean and nicely furnished and has plenty of room for two families to share. It is a peaceful place with great views! The drive up is an adventure! The home is close to Saluda, near some great eating spots and craft shops. Great overall vacation!"

  • It's all about the view!

"Our family vacations have always been at the beach. So I guess we are flatlanders! The first drive up Highland Gap Road was a shocker, very curvy and somewhat narrow road. As it happens, over the week, this curvy road became one of the things a loved most about this very private location. We saw 3 deer and a wild turkey the 1st day trying to find the house. The iron railing around the deck prevented any obstruction of view and with no down exit we did not have to worry about the safety of our french bull dog, Lulu. The 2nd week of Aug and we never had the a/c on. Hubby and adult children went white water rafting, kayaking, and hiking. I had to baby sit Lulu, which was not a problem in this relaxing home. Only negative was the sofa. It really, really needs replacing."

  • Back Again

"We have rented this cabin many times over the past few years. It is has high end furnishings and is fresh, clean and updated each time we visit. The owners have put a lot of thought in the "things to do" book. It is a great resource for planning your activities. Each year we hike Max Patch, Lake Dense, and several other hikes mentioned in the things to do book. This year we also attended the Golden Retriever Nationals in Fletcher, NC near Asheville. The drive was an easy 40 minutes from the cabin. And for the first time ever we experienced snow on the day before we checked out. It was beautiful. We love this cabin. It is perfect for us and our retrievers. I highly recommend this cabin."
