"We chose this property because of the pictures and reviews, and we were pleased that our entire stay of 15 days exceeded our expectations. We came to the Brevard area to escape the heat and dreariness of a Texas summer, and this place hit the spot. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed the hiking, canoeing, sitting on the balcony to eat meals, and seeing the grand views of the falls and mountains. We particularly loved the early mornings and the cool breezes and the calming sound of the small stream outside the house. Deana had the house ready just like we were relatives and everything was clean and fresh. Materials in the house particularly helped us pick out places to eat, hike, view falls, and see the scenery. From the Pisgah National Forest to the Dupont State Recreational Forest and onto the Blue Ridge Parkway, this area provided opportunities for fun and lots of "wow" views for the family. The amenities were plentiful for our stay and made the time there much more relaxing. For those coming in the summertime, don't miss the Brevard Music Center for outstanding musical events or the Flat Rock Theatre and Carl Sandburg home in nearby Hendersville. This is an outstanding property that I hope we will see again in the future."

"Our family loved our stay at Highwoods. The house is beautifully decorated and has every amenity (and kitchen gadget) you could hope for. June was a great time to visit, with the mountain laurel in bloom and temperatures offering a much-needed break from Georgia heat. We ate most meals out on the deck, enjoying the amazing view. The location, halfway between Highlands and Cashiers, means you have easy access to both towns. The hanging beds downstairs were perfect for reading, and the deck and the screened porch were great places to relax and enjoy the mountain air. You'll love this house!"

"Orion's Crossing is exactly as advertised. The cabin is extremely comfortable, very clean and well appointed. We will plan to stay here in the future. The views from the porch are spectacular and we loved having coffee on the porch every morning. The wi-fi is an extremely nice touch, since we are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. This place is well secluded, so it is very private with no views to any other cabins. The location to the Smokies, Asheville and Pigsah Forest is great!"

"My husband and I stayed at the Buffalo Creek Lodge for a week and let me just say, the owner Beau is the sweetest kindest gentleman. He represents the charm of the people of the south to me. He was very accommodating as we arrived a day early and he let us come into the rental that day. We drive a motorcycle and as the driveway was very steep, he made sure to have the leaves and debris cleaned off from it to keep us safe. The property is beautiful and so quiet. We loved listing and watching the birds and at night there were lots of fireflies. And the view of the smokies from the Lodge is amazing. We enjoyed sipping our coffee from the screen room every morning and watched the sunset at nights from The Point. Breathtaking! I really really did not want to leave. I would stay at this rental again in a heartbeat. Thank you Beau for your southern hospitality and for being extra kind to these two Canadians!"
