  • Wonderful Experience!

"We just left our quiet haven in the mountains and had an amazing stay! Our 5year old LOVED it and cried to go back "home" every time we ventured off the property. It is beautiful in the fall and great place to see the leaves and smell the mountain air. We would love to come in the summer and spring also...maybe next year! I only wish I had brought my own pillow bc my neck hurt (I'm only 37 but guess I'm getting to that point). I wouldn't have wanted to be there with my son being any younger but 4-5 and up would be perfect. We didn't bring our dog but it seemed pet friendly. Great place to get away and relax!"

  • Beautiful Get-A-Way

"Our family had a wonderful mini-vacation at Big Fish. The house is beautiful, spacious and very conformable. There were 12 of us adults and 2 very small children. The views from the house of the lake and the mountains are spectacular. The location is centrally located with a short 15-20 drive to Cashiers and Highlands. It's a beautiful area and we can't wait to visit Big Fish again. We highly recommend this house for your vacation."

  • Vacation at home

"Being from Highlands, NC, I love to visit the mountains any chance I can get. Rather than stay with my parents who still live there today, I really enjoyed the vacation I had while staying at this rustic mountain cabin in the secluded woods of Trillium Links and Lake Club. We comfortably accommodated six people in the cabin with room to spare. The location is peaceful and very quiet, but with easy access to the club house and pool, and not hard to find. The home was quaintly decorated and really made you feel at home in the mountains. The owner was super accommodating with our late evening arrival time. Being in the Lake Glenville area, it's perfectly located between Highlands and Cashiers. I would highly recommend to any vacationers seeking rental property. Can't wait to return."

  • A great place to relax

"We rented this wonderful house for three nights. Rain or shine, the views from the screened porch were awe-inspiring--the photos don't do it justice. The place is well-equipped and comfortable--we ate in two of our three nights because we felt so relaxed we didn't want to go out, and the kitchen had everything we needed (and the view of the mountains from beside the grill is conducive to philosophical thoughts while grilling and sipping a glass of wine!) The house is convenient to attractions and dining in and around Sapphire, Cashiers and Highlands. It's probably a stretch for more than four people because of the layout of the interior, and I'm not sure it's a good place for kids (though there are three TVs and two DVD players, always helpful in a pinch.) The interior communal living space is limited, but with that porch who wants to be inside? I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again."
