"My second stay at the cottage with 2 friends for a girls getaway! We all had a wonderful time. We loved the screened in porch and the relaxing atmosphere of the cottage and surroundings. Owners are very helpful in recommendations for places to see and in directions to get there. Cottage is especially well located, well equipped with all you need plus more. A great, place to stay!! I will be back!"

"We stayed at Summer Haven for week of Memorial Day and it was perfect for the two of us and our shepherd Ally. The house is so inviting and comfortable and the location was perfect for hiking, mountain biking and trips to Brevard, Asheville and Dupont and Pisgah Forest. Our shepherd loved to go for walks down the lane and take hikes with us to the waterfalls in Dupont. The mountain laurel was blooming and was all around the yard which made it amazing to sit outside on the porch or at the picnic table. I went mountain biking in Dupont (fabulous trails) and it was so close that I could leave everyone sleeping....go down the road for a great ride...and be back for breakfast! We ate lunch and dinner at the Cedar Mountain Café right before the turnoff to Stones Lake and the food and people were great....loved it. We also cooked out on the charcoal grill at the house and of course roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. It was a wonderful house and week and I would definitely recommend to anyone...especially to anyone who wants to bike or hike Dupont. Thanks so much for opening your house and letting Ally come too!"

"My family and I (7 of us) just spent a week at this cabin and it was wonderful. The view is spectacular and the cabin was just perfect. It has a rustic feel to it and is very roomy and cozy, and we loved the openness. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining table with the lazy susan is so cool; since its round it makes for easy conversation. The family room and sun room are very comfy and relaxing. The bedrooms are spacious enough with a good amount of closet space and comfortable beds. Also the location was perfect to get to other points of interest; Waynesville, Maggie Valley, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are close by. Asheville is only 40 minutes away. And there are great walking and hiking trails. Overall it was a great vacation spot, and we would highly recommend visiting the Smokey Mountains and staying here."
