  • Labor Day Weekend

"We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin for Labor Day Weekend. There were a total of 4 adults staying for 3 nights and we felt we had plenty of room to spread out, have privacy and still enjoy being together. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of linens. It is located at the top of the street and is the highest house in its subdivision. The views are incredible! We were about 10 minutes from Harold's Supermarket in Sylva and less than 20 minutes from Harrah's Casino. We went rafting down the Tuckasegee River which was slow-paced but still very enjoyable. We cooked most of our meals at the cabin and enjoyed the first UGA football game of the season on the satellite TV in the living room. Amber was extremely responsive and very pleasant to work with. We will absolutely visit her cabin again! Thank you for everything!"

  • What a view!

"My husband and I just returned from a very nice stay at Camp Davis. We found the cabin to be exceptionally clean and comfortable. It's well equipped with nice linens, cookware, and dinnerware. Stocked with minimal non-perishables including some salt & pepper (no flour, sugar, spices, etc.) but that is just fine as I brought from home the items that I'd use. It's situated along a ridge top via a maintained gravel road with some tight switchbacks and steep grades. As with any rural location, advance meal planning and shopping is necessary. There are fantastic views in all directions and privacy! We arrived late on Tuesday night, Wednesday was spent touring the nearby historic sites at Oconaluftee, within the SMNP, doing some shopping, and spending the rest of our time just enjoying the cabin. Thursday was a full day of touring the park including Fontana Dam, Cades Cove, and Clingmans Dome. Our stay at Camp Davis was part of a longer tour including WV. We really like this area for its spectacular mountains, only wish we had more time here! Rachael was nice to work with and helpful to us. We've rented vacation properties all over the country and found this property to be nicely appointed and's apparent that this cabin is cherished…we felt very much at home…thank you for sharing!"

  • Charming cabin, excellent value and location

"We contacted Sandy about a week from the dates we were going to be in the Cherokee area. I worried that the only lodging left would be leftovers, but we really got a hidden gem. This cabin is not the biggest or best in the area, there's not a mountain view, but you won't find a better value. I completed our transaction over the web with no issues, and Sandy answered every advance question from me. We found the cabin with no problems, and were delighted to just show up and "move in." This is the middle cabin of 3, but there is some space and privacy between each (although we did get to chat with our neighbors). My family of 5 had just enough room with the 2 queens and pull-out queen couch. The kitchen was small but very adequate for a few days. The living area was very comfortable, and especially like the TV. But no doubt the best was the covered porch area. We fought over the 4 rocking chairs in the evening and we enjoyed the hot tub. The Cherokee area is not like Gatlinburg (thank goodness); you go there to get away and just enjoy being in the Smokies. This cabin did just that for us. I highly recommend this cabin; we certainly plan on returning. Note: there isn't a washer/dryer in the cabin, and the closest facility is in town (not too bad, but you need to plan for it). Also, there isn't internet connectivity or a DVD player (a mixed blessing)"

  • Nice getaway

"We have two young kids and were looking to meet my parents in the mountains for a weekend getaway. The kids really wanted to see Cherokee so we tried this cabin as an alternative to the hotels in the area. Very glad we did. It was very close to Cherokee and easy to get there but also many other desirable locations around the WNC Smokies. The cabin itself is nice. Nothing fancy but very clean, well stocked, and exactly as described and pictured in the ad. Would consider renting again if we are looking to stay in that area."
