  • Great Property

"Really enjoyed this cabin. The owner is very friendly and made us feel welcome. The driveway was steep but our Honda Civic was fine - no special 4WD vehicle required. Yes, there are dogs around, but we had no issues with any of them - we only saw them when the owner came to welcome us to the cabin. The view is spectacular and the surrounding area is superb. We spent a majority of our time hiking, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and visiting downtown Waynesville - everything was very convenient and the surrounding area is beautiful to drive. We hope to return again with our child and stay longer to enjoy more of what the cabin has to offer. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cabin to couples or small families with children (the ladder to the loft is pretty steep, so probably kids over age 5 - but kids will absolutely LOVE the loft). Great location, great cabin, great view - couldn't really ask for more!"

  • Mother of the Bride

"I saw the faces and heard the reaction as one by one our family and friends arrived at the lodge - "What was my daughter thinking?" A few minutes later they knew - the view was spectacular and the lodge was impeccable. After they rode down once, the road was no longer an issue. And there was not one other complaint. Plenty of hot water for showers, the kitchen was totally prepped for cooking and the two dishwashers were a hit. Future Scrabblers will see we added a paper D, O and J as they were the only things missing on this grand adventure. As for improvements, more automatic lights on the outside stairs, and as I have a brother who uses a wheelchair, my recommendation would be this - the lodge itself is very handicap and wheelchair accessible once inside, a cement handicap space and a wooden path leading to the back door would be all that is needed. Thank you very much for completing my daughter's grand vision for her wedding."

  • And a Dream it is!

"There is no doubt that this cabin is so much more than 2 people can possibly enjoy in 3 nights, but enjoy it to the fullest is what we did! The ammenities, the hot tub on deck and in the master bedroom was so relaxing, leaving the cabin for anything was totally not necessary! The kitchen is well stocked from appliances to cookware, utensils, cleaning supplies and even little extra's in the cabinets (seasonings in case you forgot any). There is so much to say about Carolina Dreaming....there is no doubt that we will be coming back and maybe the next time with a couple of friends! Thank you so much Linda! I couldn't have chosen a more fantastic cabin in Nantahala region! The Gorge is beautiful too!!"
