"Our family had such a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was very relaxing and had all the comforts of home and felt at home. Dan was amazing as well. He was there to greet us shortly after arriving and was eager to answer any questions that we had. I enjoyed the rare opportunity to see 5 deer swimming in the lake very close to where I was fishing on the dock. Looking out over the lake from the dock was very serene. Our dog, which I am happy that we could take her, loved chasing the white caps in the creek beside the cabin. Shopping was very close and loved the scenery on the way into town. It did rain a couple of days but that made everything beautiful in its own way as well. I am looking forward to visiting again very soon."

"I regret not booking this property for an entire week. It was a very comfortable home with beautiful surroundings and privacy. My friend and I were very pleased with everything about it and plan to book this place again."

"We wanted to escape the heat of the SC coast and visit family in the area and this was the ideal location. The pictures do not do it justice. The cabin was larger than it appears in the pictures and so comfortable. Wish we had booked a two week stay! My husband, a TV junkie, spent every hour that we were there out on the porch. We have a porch at home, but he never spends that much time on it. It is convenient to any activities or sightseeing you may want to do. We went to Helen and Blue Ridge; took the train ride. Unfortunately my husband has a very bad back so we could not hike around the area, but he did walk around the pond several times. I am so sorry we did not book a longer stay!! And again, out timing was off - the Tavern down the street was closed for several days. I think they were doing some repairs. Other guests said it was a nice friendly place and we wanted to check it out. One morning while drinking our coffee on the porch, two of the neighbors jumped in the pond for a swim!! The four legged neighbors. There were three sweet, friendly dogs who would show up every now and then. Five days without the internet did not kill me, although I would have liked it just to look up some info on places in the area. I think this would be an ideal place for a family to "get to know one another" again - unplug from the craziness and play games, hike, relax. I wish I could bring my grandchildren there for a week so the can see what life without wires is like!! Thanks for a great stay!!"

"The house was beautiful inside and out. There were 7 adults. Each comfortable bedroom had its own unique private bathroom. Plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with 3 sets of dishes, countertop appliances, pots/pans, utensils etc.
We rented the neighbors boat (which we used for sight seeing, fishing or tubing) for the week. We ventured around the mountains to various areas.
Ingles grocery (5 min. away) store had everything we needed. There is no cable/satellite available (which would be nice for our sports minded men), but there is Internet service.
We had family from Georgia, Tennessee and NC which made this a nice central area for all of us to vaca together. We played many ping pong tournaments but mostly relaxed on the dock or decks just catching up and enjoying each other's company.
I love taking pictures, so I always had a beautiful scenery where ever we went. My favorites pictures are from the lake in the boat with mountains as background and the sunrises. Each morning greeted me as the sun peeks over the mountains and the clouds slowly lifted from the hills, I stood in awe at God's beautiful works of art! It did not matter where we went, beauty was everywhere!
I would recommend this house. Beautiful setting on the lake and Gary was so easy and efficient to work with."
