  • Very nice accommodations!

"My wife and I stayed at JoAnn's condo and found it to be very clean and in overall excellent condition. JoAnn was wonderful to work with throughout the rental process. The only downside to the stay was the lack of cell connectivity at the condo, which the owner advised us of prior to renting, so it wasn't unexpected. Overall very nice experience."

  • Perfect long weekend

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at Huckleberry’s Hideout in Bryson City. The cabin was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy a much needed long weekend. The well maintained cabin sits at the top of a long driveway and is very secluded. In the evenings we enjoyed rocking on the large porch, listening to the horses at the stables below and watching the glow of the fire in the fire pit. There is a nice grill for evening meals and a well equipped kitchen. On the second level there is a game room that we honestly did not use since we spent most of our free time on the porch but, would be a great asset to those traveling with children. Downtown Bryson City is a short drive away and the Ingles Supermarket had everything we needed and even some organic staples. We found the people of Bryson very friendly and accommodating. The downtown area was very busy on the weekend but we felt like we had it to ourselves during the week. We enjoyed “The Filling Station” for a quick sandwich, “The Cork and Bean” for dinner (I would have gone twice if we had the time) and a pretty authentic Italian restaurant,“ Pasqualino’s” . I cannot say enough about the location of this cabin. We felt close enough to everything and anything we wanted to do. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is a short drive with rapids easy enough for families or first timers. On the way to the NOC take a detour and check out Fontana Lake Dam and Tail of the Dragon (if your stomach is up to it…mine was not)! Also nearby are the Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahala National Forest and Great Smokey Mountain Park with hours of hiking, driving and site seeing. I will briefly address the driveway since so many seemed to mention it in previous reviews. We drove a Toyota Rav4 with front wheel drive. We were able to get half way up but no further. After two tries we returned to the bottom and went up in reverse /backwards. We had no problems doing this and came and went with ease. Those with all-wheel drive should not have any issues. There is a place to park at the bottom of the driveway but it is a bit of a hike up. Do not let this deter you from renting this great cabin in a perfect location! Also want to extend a special thank you to the owners for allowing our furbaby to join us!"

  • Carolyn and Kristen

"My daughter and I stayed at this doll house for a one night getaway. We were in awe of this little French country cottage! The grounds were spacious and beautiful from the travertine tiled gazebo, stone pizza oven, beautiful gardens down to the blueberry field out the back door where we picked ample amounts of blueberries for our breakfast. The cottage was clean and so cozy. We enjoyed the front porch by candlelight, listening to the birds and watching fireflies. Saluda is a great small town with great local food in the family owned businesses. Some recommendations are The Purple Onion restaurant, Random Arts studio, and a short drive to hiking trails and waterfalls in flat rock. Susan's place was dog friendly and inviting. The photos don't do it justice. Will definitely be visiting again!"

"We recently stayed at the Hilltop Hideaway, this was a well kept cabin nestled in privacy. the view from the front porch is stunning. We had everything we needed. we arrived very late to find the lights on for us which was an extra. Thank you Trinda and Leonard for a great vacation cabin!"
