  • An awesome place!

"This cabin is perfect if you are staying in the Smoky Mountain area. We prefer the peaceful mountain atmosphere over the crowds and commercial strips in Gatlinburg. We enjoyed exploring the town and surrounding cities on our way to hiking in the Smoky Mountains each day. The cabin was a perfect setting for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We were able to totally unplug, sit on either deck, and listen to the beautiful sounds of nature. The creek does not disappoint, and provides a beautiful sounds-cape. The cabin layout was perfect, cozy, extremely clean, and tastefully decorated. We loved our vacation and we couldn't have been happier with our cabin choice. The owners are also quick to respond and great to work with."

  • Amazing!

"This place is absolutely amazing. To begin with, the peace and beauty of the surroundings is incredible. To stay there is like owning your own huge piece of forest with streams and flowers and ponds on it. The lodge itself is large enough to house an extended family comfortably but is also just great for only two. The interior is spotless and all the furnishings comfortable and attractive. The kitchen is a joy. We cooked in every evening and then enjoyed the twilight from the porch. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Julia is so easy to work with and so warm and welcoming. Having her as contact person made the whole process easy. She is very easy to reach and quick to respond to questions . We will definately return."

  • Beautiful Mountain Retreat

"We stayed at this house while the fall leaf colors and the amazing local waterfalls were at a their peaks. This is a perfect location to enjoy the outdoors in a quiet wooded mountain setting. We fully endorse what many others have written about the outstanding design, décor and livability of the house and property. It is conveniently located close to half way between Highlands and Cashiers. The excellent hiking trails at Whiteside Mountain are only a short drive away, and if you are lucky you may be able to see the "Bear Shadow" made by the mountain from an overlook just down the highway. The owner was very helpful to us, providing thorough information on household equipment and on restaurants and things to do in the area. She also promptly addressed any questions that came up before and during our visit. We are very happy to have stayed here during what we consider the best season of the year. However, a stay at any time of year would be great given all that the house and area have to offer."

  • Great Place for Relaxing and Enjoying Life!

"The Brigadoon was a great place for our family vacation. We loved the charm of the place and all of its amenities. We spent a lot of time on the wonderful screened-in porch. It was a great place to play cards and games and enjoy our meals together. The Brigadoon is close to DuPont State Forest. We made day trips to Bridal Veil, High, Hooker, and Triple Falls. It was great to be so close to the natural beauty of the waterfalls. I highly recommend a stay at the Brigadoon."
