  • Wonderful cottage

"We liked everything about this cottage. The setting cannot be beat. We had our days planned with hikes in the local area, but discovered that we could have been just as content to stay at the cottage and relax while the kids played at the stream. There are porches to enjoy in all kinds or weather, the kitchen is nicely updated, the living room is comfortable for relaxing and visiting. We could see coming back here during any season of the year, just to relax at the cottage!"

  • Just perfect

"This cabin is exactly as pictured. It's beautiful and the views are spectacular. All was very clean and the upgrades in this cabin are just amazing - something not found in most rental properties. We had trouble starting the gas fire place the first night and the owners came out that evening to help us. As the location is rather remote, I'm sure this was out of their way, so it was much appreciated. Please know that the internet is s l o w, but you're not there to hang out on the computer anyway. Your cell phone won't work either, so enjoy the people you're with! We stayed busy playing pool, taking long walks, playing games (bring your own) and watching movies (decent collection there) in the incredible theater room. We really hope to return in the summer sometime, as canoeing the lake would be great! Last note: The paved road ends a a couple of miles before you get to this cabin... and then you drive through a small creek... We really thought we were lost. Then the GPS said the location was on the left, where we saw an old trailer with broken windows. Funny now. After a moment of panic we found the place. Glad we arrived in daylight. With no cell service be sure you print your directions or use a Garmin, which worked except for the trailer."

  • Mountain getaway to celebrate my Mother's 86th birthday, per her request to say in Brevard area.

"Loved the stay at this location, It was exactly what we were looking for. Close to town area but in the mountain atmosphere. Also not hotel feeling and was clean and comfortable. This location was with in a few hours to most everything to sightsee, (Waynesville, Ashville, Hendersonville or a day trip to Maggie's valley, Cherokee, even a trip to Highlands). We have been visitors and campers to this Pisgah Mountain area for most all my life and also my children and grand kids have continued the tradition. Thank you for a wonderful time and sharing your home."

  • Vacation at home

"Being from Highlands, NC, I love to visit the mountains any chance I can get. Rather than stay with my parents who still live there today, I really enjoyed the vacation I had while staying at this rustic mountain cabin in the secluded woods of Trillium Links and Lake Club. We comfortably accommodated six people in the cabin with room to spare. The location is peaceful and very quiet, but with easy access to the club house and pool, and not hard to find. The home was quaintly decorated and really made you feel at home in the mountains. The owner was super accommodating with our late evening arrival time. Being in the Lake Glenville area, it's perfectly located between Highlands and Cashiers. I would highly recommend to any vacationers seeking rental property. Can't wait to return."
