  • Quaint Cabin

"The cabin was very welcoming when we arrived. It gave you the feel of home unlike a Hotel room. It was easy to find and in the perfect area for what our plans were. We were satisfied enough that one of the couples is planning on renting it again for another family event in the area. Only thing missing was ESPN. lol"

  • Mountain Cabin

"Great mountain cabin with a outstanding view. Conveniently located with good road access. Very comfortable stay with all of the amentities that you typically need. Actual appearance is better than the photos in the ad. We enjoyed having free dry firewood for nightly use in the fireplace. The owner (Wanda) was very helpful and gave us great insight into the local area. Good access to the Smokies and surrounding towns. Would definitely stay there again when we are traveling in the area."

  • Wonderful property with a cozy feel

"I rented this property from Smoky Mountain Getaways and I was very pleased with the home. When we arrived, I was very upset. The Smoky Mountains had been having unprecedented rainfalls and the river I had dreamed of sitting in was dangerously high. The river never went far enough down to play in during the two weeks we were there. You can't control Mother Nature... The home featured two bedrooms and a loft. My 8 year old daughter loved the loft and wants one of her own now. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking, but the closest grocery store was 10 miles away. The local convenience/general store had some items, but was very expensive. The location ended up being a bit too far from Asheville for my preference, but you received awesome views in exchange. We also were able to explore more areas that we haven't been to. The hot tub in the back was amazing. We had an issue with it at first, but they sent a technician the next day and that was fixed up for us. My only complain was the showers. The head on the showers had been rigged with thin pipes and emitted a wimpy spray. It took a looooong time to shower off any soap. There were lots of towels available though, and the washer and dryer really helped us out. I would definitely stay here again."

  • Perfect vacation home!

"My family and I enjoyed this home and property so much. We loved the privacy and beautiful serenity this home offers. The home is even more beautiful then the pictures on the website show. The house was clean, plenty of cooking dishes, towels, and other supplies. We had three kids ages 6, 10 and 10 (nephew) who loved exploring the river and around the property. While relaxing on the hammock, by the river, I dozed and read a book while there, which never happens. The home is so beautiful and I loved all the details. So charming, rustic and unique. There was no cable or internet service, which I loved (my husband missed it a little bit though :)). We watched one movie the whole time. So nice to focus on our family by going on day trips, roasting marshmallows by the fire and playing board games. I would definitely love to go back and stay there again."
