  • Spectacular Views and Location

"Our second stay at this beautiful Chalet which exceeded our expectations last year and repeated itself again. Distant mountain views and rushing river waters relaxes the soul and mind in this quiet and private setting. Extremely clean, charming mountain décor and well equipped to make one feel at home. The lower level made a great "mancave" for my husband with a big screen TV, game room in rustic furnishing. The Hot tub and fireplace welcomed us home after a day of hard playing one of the many mountain activities conveniently close by. Easy accessed paved roads with driveway/parking perfect for a trailer with our two Harleys. Perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts with endless scenic rides in all directions, including The Tail of the Dragon, Six Gap, Joe Brown. Moonshiner, Wayha and Cherohala Skyway to name a few. Although it was just the two of us, we plan to return with our grown children to share the fantastic fun and beauty this area has to offer!"

  • "Wow, says it all!!!"

"My wife & I just returned from a very relaxing but fun vacation at Sapphire Heaven cabin in Sapphire, NC. Wow is what we continued to say as we pulled up to the cabin, opened the door and explored the inside and then again as we stepped out on to the deck! John and Stacey have done a great job creating an old time feeling cabin with some very nice modern features as well. We enjoyed the cabin, the views, the challenging trail to the falls on the property, just to name a few. It was a great trip and we look forward to returning again in the future so we can continue our quest to see more waterfalls in the local area (Sapphire, Cashiers & Highlands)."

  • Excellent In All Regards

"Great place to stay and for only the price of a hotel room. Plus they allowed our little dog. We loved the home, new and clean and everything anyone could want. Lyndell and Peggy were wonderful and all communication was very rapid and complete. We highly recommend their home. Their payment system allows for very short advanced notice stays as well."

  • Perfect long weekend

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at Huckleberry’s Hideout in Bryson City. The cabin was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy a much needed long weekend. The well maintained cabin sits at the top of a long driveway and is very secluded. In the evenings we enjoyed rocking on the large porch, listening to the horses at the stables below and watching the glow of the fire in the fire pit. There is a nice grill for evening meals and a well equipped kitchen. On the second level there is a game room that we honestly did not use since we spent most of our free time on the porch but, would be a great asset to those traveling with children. Downtown Bryson City is a short drive away and the Ingles Supermarket had everything we needed and even some organic staples. We found the people of Bryson very friendly and accommodating. The downtown area was very busy on the weekend but we felt like we had it to ourselves during the week. We enjoyed “The Filling Station” for a quick sandwich, “The Cork and Bean” for dinner (I would have gone twice if we had the time) and a pretty authentic Italian restaurant,“ Pasqualino’s” . I cannot say enough about the location of this cabin. We felt close enough to everything and anything we wanted to do. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is a short drive with rapids easy enough for families or first timers. On the way to the NOC take a detour and check out Fontana Lake Dam and Tail of the Dragon (if your stomach is up to it…mine was not)! Also nearby are the Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahala National Forest and Great Smokey Mountain Park with hours of hiking, driving and site seeing. I will briefly address the driveway since so many seemed to mention it in previous reviews. We drove a Toyota Rav4 with front wheel drive. We were able to get half way up but no further. After two tries we returned to the bottom and went up in reverse /backwards. We had no problems doing this and came and went with ease. Those with all-wheel drive should not have any issues. There is a place to park at the bottom of the driveway but it is a bit of a hike up. Do not let this deter you from renting this great cabin in a perfect location! Also want to extend a special thank you to the owners for allowing our furbaby to join us!"
