"This cute house is hidden, on a rushing creek, that will lull you to sleep. A little ways from town, but the full kitchen is available for cooking. Bring in dinner, or cook it yourself you won't want to leave once there. My sister and her husband met with us and we had a wonderful visit, such a quiet location. We did a lot of "porch sitting".. Murphy is close by and they have just opened a casino."

"We so much enjoyed the Nottely River Retreat from the moment we arrived, to the day we left. The rushing river was soothing and lulled us to sleep each night. The weather was perfect for daily hiking and waterfall hunts. Dinner at the local rib restaurant in Murphy was delicious. Nearby trail biking on Lake Chatuge was invigorating, challenging and scenic. The neighbors are very friendly, and Bentley and Mercedes both accompanied us on our morning walk. The cabin was well furnished and very clean, and the owner was very pleasant to work with. We will definitely consider returning in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us."

"Thunderstruck is how we felt when we saw the cabin and the VIEW. What a comfortable and homey cabin! It had everything we needed, even a very nice welcome gift. The cabin is very convenient to a small town for groceries and close enough to Asheville for a city experience. Although we did have a hard time pulling ourselves away from the view at the cabin. There were just 2 of us but we still made use of the lower level to play a great game of poker. We've used VRBO before and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed."

"I was pleasantly surprised on how modern and comfortable the home was. I have rented a few different homes in the NC Mountains, and where they have been nice, this one is everything it was advertised to be. If you want a real “mountain view”, this is the home.
The large deck around the house was perfect for enjoying dinner outside, or just hanging out watching the sunset in the gazebo. The property was beautiful with multitude of birds, bunnies, chipmunks, and even a small fish pond.
The home was clean & tidy, and offered every amenity that a family of 5 needs. Full kitchen, living areas, quiet bed rooms, and an office with a desk to check into work “if needed”. The driveway up to the home was a little intimidating for a Floridian in a mini-van, but by the second day it was no big deal. The covered parking area was perfect for returning to the home during rainy weather. If I could take another week off of work,,, I’d return in a minute."
