"Perfect location for a quiet retreat within a short drive of so many things to do. Take a hike right from the back door, enjoy nature from the deck and hot tub or explore Asheville. It's home away from home surrounded by nature with plenty of privacy! Janet is a thoughtful and gracious host providing everything you may need (like when I forgot to pack the pancake mix and coffee, she already had it!) I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it!"

"My husband and I just returned from our second stay in this fabulous find. The cabin has been updated a bit since photos taken, with a Franklin stove in the den and lots of wood stacked outside ready for cozy nights. We have visited both times in late fall and didn't use the kayaks, but there are now 4 available and we plan to return in the summer to put them to good use. Cooked every meal on the Big Green Egg and had the most incredible late afternoons on the porch, where it feels like you are perched right on the water's edge. Many rentals come with decks, but not ones so fully equipped and comfy. Candles were even provided if the lake setting doesn't provide enough ambiance! Owners very responsive and easy to communicate with. Love this place!"

"My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The owners are fantastic and the detail they have put into the home will be obvious from the moment you arrive. The home is impeccable- stocked with everything you can imagine and then some. The views from the deck make you never want to leave. So much to do in and around Waynesville-- the Parkway is only an exit away which provides great hiking, picnicking and a fun day trip to Slippery Rock. Asheville is a quick 25 minute drive if you want to tour the Biltmore Estate or have a special dinner at the Grove Park Inn. However, plan you days accordingly because the home itself offers plenty!"
