"Grandma's cabin totally met our expectations of a winter getaway: a warm, cozy, beautifully decorated cabin nestled in the mountains surrounded by the peacefulness of nature. We loved the fact it was so private and quiet. There is a fire pit which we enjoyed sitting around an open fire roasting marsh-mellows and relaxing. Chimney Rock is around the corner so we spent the day hiking and climbing the rock and afterwards enjoying lunch at the village below. Asheville is only 25 miles and we took a couple of trips there. Also, we enjoyed hiking and exploring the 5 acres and relaxing in the hot tub. We all loved the comfort and solitude it offered. It was one of the best stays in the mountains and we look forward to returning."

"What a wonderful house!!! Slept my husband, 3 children and parents perfectly!!! Jogging distance to a little downtown area! Within 30 mins to zip lining, white water rafting, chimney rock and mining. House fully stocked including game room with air hockey and pool table for family night tournaments!! Defiantly will revisit!"

"We had a wonderful family weekend at Solitude! I asked Terri questions about the house and area attractions and she was always quick to respond with helpful answers. The house is the perfect size. We have 2 young children and it was easy to keep up with a 2 year old full of energy. We enjoyed the screened in porch for sitting and eating and the firepit out back. The house is close enough to town so a quick run to the grocery store didn't take long and we went to Chimney Rock 2 days in a row since it was so close. My toddler enjoyed playing in the creek and walking to the "Edge of the World." There is information in a binder about the area attractions and a few sightseeing areas close to the house that we took advantage of. It was a treat for Daddy to be able to spend a weekend with his kids and make memories that will not be forgotten."

"Charming old fashioned cottage....beautiful scenery and. Although we didn't have a chance to use it. There was an awesome firepit creekside. We were very comfortable...after long days at sliding rock and other attractions, it was great to come back with delicious, healthy takeout options from the Hendersonville community co op. We spent one night "glamping" at thewoodds nearby then were delighted to come to the cottsge for a hot shower and ,A/C. We will return to this charming cottage! PS the kids loved rafting in the creek"
