  • Weekend getaway

"We were able to get this beautiful place on the spur of the moment on our way home from Asheville. The cabin is so homey, clean and peaceful! It looks just like the photos! We had a rainy night the first night there and being able to sit on the back porch with the rain hitting the tin roof was so relaxing and romantic! You can not see the pond during this time of year but it is only a short walk thru the woods. I cant tell you much about that part cause it is not our thing but i did read in the owners guest book about the fun that many people had with the canoe. The only drawback we found was the driveway. The cabin sits below the road so you have to get a little running start but we made it fine with our car. Bob senior the owners dad is close by and is willing to help with any questions. There are nice resturants nearby in Blue Ridge but make reservations first! Would recommend Brothers copper kettle in Ducktown and Shoebooties in Murphy. We had a wonderful time there and would recommend it to anyone who needs to get away and relax or a great place to come home to after sightseeing or rafting! Thanks Bob!"

  • Great place!!!!

"This cabin exceeded all expectations. The pictures are beautiful, but they can't do it justice. The cabin has so much hard work poured into it, and you can sense the attention to detail when you walk through the place. The location is absolutely perfect, it is not far away from activities and stores, yet it has the upmost privacy and you don't have to worry about neighbors and noise, which is a rare combination. The owner was up front and honest about everything and a very pleasant man to work with. One fear I had going into this was putting down a deposit and then having one little thing go wrong, only to lose the entire deposit. There ended up being an incident where something was broken with which we did not recall doing, and Ken the owner, was very understanding and worked with us as much as possible. I would highly recommend this Cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet, beautiful, family friendly place to vacation. You can also rest assured that you are getting what you pay for and more!!"

  • Dream location for hiking, beautiful and comfortable cabin!

"I recently stayed at this cabin in June and it couldn't have been more perfect for my mother and I. We wanted to hike every day and the location on Lonesome valley is perfect. Not only are their trails all over the gated property, but Glenville, Highlands, and Brevard area hikes are a short drive away. We enjoyed sipping tea on the back porch, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, and opening the windows at night to let it crisp and cool summer air. The bedrooms are decorated beautifully and the living/ dinning area is perfect for groups and families. Lonesome Valley has a lake, spa, garden, and fine dinning restaurant on site which is very convenient. The Cashiers coffee shop, grocery store, yoga studio and casual dinning spots are a 5 -10 minute drive from the cabin. We will be returning for another hiking trip soon!"

  • A long needed vacation!!

"We are a military family and constantly on the go. My husband just recently came home from a long deployment and this cabin retreat is what we really needed. The peace and quiet was a dream come true. The views were beautiful and the amenities were great. We had family come from all different states and not one time did we hear anyone say they didn't have room. The cabin is fully loaded with dishes, knives, pots, pans, washer, dryer and etc. My family loved the Bon fire and s'more night along with the hot tub on the chilly nights. One thing I really did like is you are truly cut off (cell phone) wise from everyone. Their is internet but it is a little slow, but we didn't mind. All in all our experience was one we will always remember and cherish. We are hoping to rent again during the summer this time :)"
