  • Clean, Quiet and Comfortable

"Stayed a week at the cottage and were extremely pleased. The cottage was very clean and was very well stocked - did not need to bring anything. The screened porch was an added pleasure and many meals were eaten there both mornings and evenings. Location was ideal for us and provided convenient entry and exit points for the various hiking areas. The cottage is just far enough from town to provide quiet and relaxing times but still provide easy acc ess to many sites around the area including DuPont State Forest's waterfalls, Pearson Falls, Flat Rock and Saluda. Sandra was the ideal host and provided abundant information and help. I would definitely recommend for those visiting Hendersonville and the surrounding area. Many brochures in the cottage for exploring the area."

  • Great Winter Break

"Thank you so much for having such a lovely home to share. Our family takes a holiday over New Years. This was our first visit to North Carolina. We went wine tasting, visited the airplane museum, explored Pisgah Forest and so many other things. There is wide variety of activities to choose from and dining options are incredible. The owner is very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed upon our arrival. We will be visiting again!"

  • Wonderful budget friendly cottage

"I agree with other reviewers...the owners are terrific! Lonnie also met me at the house and gave me an orientation of the house, neighbors and the general area. I found the cottage extremely comfortable and felt at home during my entire stay. It is very well located and within a short drive of many attractions. Would definitely stay there again if/when the opportunity arises."

  • Kudos from Newbies!

"We don’t vacation frequently, but when we do, it’s often a stay with relatives. So, we were total newbies to VRBO/Homeaway and a little nervous about booking a cabin this way. I’m happy to say that our stay at Villa Roma was a wonderfully pleasant surprise. I assumed that the beautiful online pictures probably flattered the cabin as brochure-type pictures often do, but we were blown away when we got inside and explored this property for ourselves. There were beautiful and interesting things to see in every room. Our adult kids loved it! I particularly loved the layout of the cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone with a floor plan that created an environment for privacy as well as cozy togetherness. It was just right. We did have one little issue with the freezer. The pipe delivering water to the ice-maker apparently had a leak and the entire ice bin was a solid block of ice. We contacted the property manager, who was very responsive and sent someone out to take a look at it. In the meantime, we made a trip to the nearby Ingles and got a bag of ice. As it turned out, we picked a very rainy weekend for our trip, but Villa Roma was again perfectly located because of its easy accessibility in residential Hendersonville. I had originally wanted a secluded cabin, high atop a mountain, but for this trip, I’m glad we didn't have to navigate any winding, gravel or dirt roads. This property is very conveniently located to many attractions. Our big outing was a trip to the Biltmore Estate which was an easy half hour drive away. Our stay at Villa Roma was a great experience and a precious time of memory making for my family. Many thanks!"
