"This is a lovely property and the pictures hardly do the setting or the house justice. Just minutes away from downtown Asheville, this private home/cabin feels way off in the woods, set up on a mountain side, surrounded by flowering trees and walking trails. The house is spacious, very comfortable (including the beds!), clean, with lovely furnishings, an updated, well-equipped kitchen and other thoughtful amenities. The hot tub is a great addition. We stayed here with another adult couple as the azaleas were popping and enjoyed lovely views from the porch rockers. The house could easily accommodate a few more folks.
The property owners are hospitable and informative. The booking process was easy and straightforward. I look forward to staying here again."

"We rented this house for a few days during the winter and didn't want to leave. It is very private and surrounded by woods. There is also plenty of space to spread out with a bonus loft room above the great room, as well as a very spacious lower level. The owners paid a lot of attention to detail in this bear-themed retreat. Perfect for relaxing in the mountains after a long hike on the beautiful local trails. Would stay again in a heartbeat!"

"My family and I could not have been happier with this place! It was gorgeous, clean, conveniently located, and more than accommodating. Jim, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with in sorting out the details of our trip. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort and made us feel very welcome. The 2 sided fireplace was well used, with plenty of firewood on the front porch. The house is extremely spacious and well equipped with a strong wifi signal and cable TV. From the moment we pulled up to the front of the house, we didn't want to leave! We came in March, hoping to see some snow. And on our first day, 3 hours after we arrived, it started snowing! Cataloochie Ski is about a mile away and Tube World is literally right across the street. The neighborhood looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting, absolutely breathtaking, as are the views off the balcony. We are already planning our next trip to this house and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to vacation in Maggie Valley!!"

"I found Behr Paw impressive. I love the mountains of NE-GA/SW-NC and the scenic landscapes and rural living this part of the country offers. Partial to this area, as I attended college nearby years ago, I found the secluded cabin cozy w/ well appointed décor and furnishings. Seeing this property as an exceptional find, I only hope it is available when I return to the area for my annual mountain retreat."
